There are alot of different styles. Theres the stuff that people think of when you say anime, with the big eyes and so on


But theres also more realistic stuff like this

Yeah, I know. All ugly too, in my opinion. They actually share many of the same characteristics and stylistic traits, though the difference proportions are not the same. How do you think it's possible to recognize an art style as anime, if not for a strong set of similarities represented across most of it?

Thats the same with a lot of artistic styles, There are still styles within say, celshaded that difer with different artists.The similarities define the overall style and themes within it.

Yes, this has been my point. Also the main reason for it turning me off, stylistically. Let's move on. :)
