I like em both really, my fav superhero is Batman, but Marvels characters are generally a little more 'full'.
However, I have a deep rooted soft spot for Titan Books (Watchmen, V for Vendetta).
Actually, Watchmen was originally published by DC.
Well doom.
I'm not too informed about comics so I guess that's another point for DC then.
Also, I can't stand Spiderman, I have the 'Birth of Venom' collection, but I just can't stand his childish attitude and how he commentates every single little move he makes in such an annoying cocky way.
it just gets right under my skin!

Both have their flaws, both have their strengths.

Batman or Spiderman? X-Men or Teen Titans? If I had to pick one it would be DC, purely for the Vertigo line.

To hell with both of them, Vertigo's my brand.
so you like DC, Vertigo is owned and operated by DC

as for me i like Marvel better overall, i think cause as The Man himself said they have better stories that everyone can relate to, like Peter Parker who has all these super powers and such but is still a normal kid with all the problems of a geeky kid growing up. DC has a bunch of super powered and/or super rich guys that are near perfect

tho i do like a lot of the DC graphic novels better than the comics. yet there are some good chars here and there, such as Constantine

Hi, I'm a Marvel! And I'm a D.C.! [http://www.youtube.com/view_play_list?p=320BAFE81584B804&playnext=1]

Well, I'm a D.C., if only because I'm a sucker for the Vertigo line and Batman.

Why bother choosing sides? Both (all, if you count other publishers mentioned and also those not) have hits, both have misses. Just pick the cherries from among the rabbit droppings and enjoy. I guess the ones I've been enjoying most in the recent years have been from the DC side. Batman: Black and White was certainly interesting to read. Kindom Come gave me a lot to think about. So did Hush. But I still enjoy reading Spider-Man for example.

But then again, I've grown a bit tired of American comics for now. And as such have been concentrating on Japanice and European publications.

I'm a sucker for the underground. I'll take American Elf and American Splendor over Superman and Spiderman any day.

Well, Marvel has Civil War, Deadpool, and The Punisher, DC has The Dark Knight Returns, Watchmen, and Sgt. Rock, Dark Horse has Sin City, Hellboy, and Terminator, and Image has PvP, Spawn, and Death Jr. Deciding a best out of these would be pretty hard.
How can you even consider mentioning Image without listing The Walking Dead. But for Sgt. Rock to be listed it must be better written than the issue I read.

DC and Marvel are both really good (me leaning towards Marvel), but I'd take Spawn before anything else.

my favourite is either Valiant Comics or DC
Valiant had Stryker right? A guy with three robot arms one side of his body (he had a regular on the other side too), a targeting system in his eye and a bunch of handguns right? I remembered reading one where there was this big boss that had a long dramatic fight with one of his men and he then just shot the boss.

I think DC can be more fun and adult then marvel more of the time, however it never comes out with good stuff on a monthly basis thats epic and fun.
Plus I think Superman is kinda lame, impervious to everything, well shit hes like chuck Norris but with 2 weaknesses.

Batman is the only true reason I think DC is still in this, because he is such an amazing awesome character you can do alot with. His villians are the 2nd reason batman's still alive, because they are all pretty cool.

I've never read it. Is it any good?
I've only read a couple of issues, but yes it is good. If you do read it make sure you have a strong stomach because it can get pretty disturbing at times.

This might be a cop-out answer, but it really depends on the series. Generally, Marvel has better characters and DC has better storytelling, but ultimately it comes down to the writer in charge.

But Marvel's special events beat the HELL out of DC's. Marvel's Civil War is a fascinating idea which wrestles with really knotty issues about the morality of the vigilante superhero; DC's Crises are confusing and ultimately pointless.

I probably was going to vote DC because Batman and all of the Watchmen are the shit, but I read the bottom option and couldn't pass it up.
