I think they're going to have more kittens. Everyone likes kittens. That would appeal to everyone, right?Sixcess said:I think everyone is misinterpreting this.
Surely by "appeal to a larger market" what they really mean is they will now give us the option of same sex romancing, because everyone wants a lesbian Shepard... right?
Right?
Yeah they said that fan favorites like Mordin, garrus and liara will return but yeah more than likely it going to be a oh I got sick of the normandy and left then an email from them is all we get thanksTank207 said:Agreed the plot is where most of my concern lies. There are a lot of variables that BioWare has to account for. I'm wondering how they're going to handle things likemireko said:At least wait until E3 before you break out the whine.
We have very little information about this game so far.
[sub]I'm more worried about the plot.[/sub]. I'm trying to not get my expectations too high in that regard.how all your team mates in Mass Effect 2 are killable, the genophage cure, the heretics, status of the council and the Rachni
Personally I got ME2 because I enjoyed the story and action from ME1, definitely not because of the excessive amounts of RPG elements, even though I consider myself an all-round gamer.AlternatePFG said:Honestly, I'm a little pissed about them continuing to talk about stream lining and making it more accessible to anyone, when Mass Effect 2 was streamlined so badly that it was hardly an RPG anymore.
Though, this is giving me deja vu about Dragon Age 2.
Oh no, I'm not saying ME1 was any better than ME2, I can't even play ME1 after playing the second. I'm just saying that BioWare, instead of actually fixing the things that were wrong with ME1, just removed them completely instead. I was hoping they would change that with 3 but it doesn't sound like it.freaper said:Personally I got ME2 because I enjoyed the story and action from ME1, definitely not because of the excessive amounts of RPG elements, even though I consider myself an all-round gamer.AlternatePFG said:Honestly, I'm a little pissed about them continuing to talk about stream lining and making it more accessible to anyone, when Mass Effect 2 was streamlined so badly that it was hardly an RPG anymore.

I will agree that widening the scope of a game usually results in disgruntled fans, and a dumber crowd.
As I said in the other thread about this, I'm not worried.Saviordd1 said:If you haven't heard Mass Effect 3 was delayed, and further more it got delayed by EA since they "want to make it for a larger market"
Am i the only who reads this statement as "EA told us to do this or we get the whip again"
Honestly I'm now convinced EA is going to make bioware turn ME3 into "Mass Effect: Future warfare" and it will lose any chance of being the epic ending fans have been waiting years for.
But thats my opinion whats yours
As far as I know we only received a trailer and some screenshots, so it's too precocious to be drawing conclusions like that at this point.AlternatePFG said:Oh no, I'm not saying ME1 was any better than ME2, I can't even play ME1 after playing the second.
