Poll: Mass Effect DLC: Pinnacle Station

Well, the new Mass Effect DLC was released today (or yesterday, I only just found out it came out this morning.), and people seem to be largely disappointed by it.

What do you think though? Have you even heard that there was going to be new Mass Effect DLC? Discuss.

Same here. But I'm going through one of my last playthroughs of the game (on the hardest difficulty right now) and I'm currently in lockdown on the Citadel. Hell of a time for the DLC to come out.

hmm i didnt even know that there was another DLC being made...infact dont waste making this crap you developers...they could have used the time better by working on mass effect 2! faster it comes out the faster we can all play it.

Honestly I played through 1 round of Survival (lol 28 minutes, Vanguard is ridiculous), 1 round of Hunt, and a few rounds of Time Trial. All felt like rehashings of various fights from the story, in rehashed areas from the story, and all were repetitive and boring. I played it for about 45 minutes and turned off my 360.

Unless you are a DIE HARD fan of Mass Effect, and I mean the kind of fan who wants to have children with the combat designers, then I suggest you steer clear of it. It's really nothing you haven't done before, and I honestly regret paying the measly 5 bucks for it. This is coming from a HUGE fan of the game.

It was disappointing, I was hoping for more story like the first DLC. It's not a bad download for 400 MP.

If one of the only positives for the DLC is that it simply exists, that can't be a good sign.

I'm not going to bother with it. It's been far too long since I played Mass Effect for me to care about DLC, and I'm just waiting for ME2.

I downloaded it (last night, I think) on a whim but haven't fired it up yet. It's going to wait a while before I do play it, as I still have two DLC chunks from Fallout 3 sitting idle on my hard disc...

I'm actually enjoying it a lot. I started a new character and once I turned Spectre, I headed out to Pinnacle Station. So far I think these battle scenarios are well made. The enemies come from all sides and just start over-whelming you.
So far I've only played Survival, Time Trails and Hunter. It would be better if it had more stages. I think there's just Volcanic, Tropical and Warehouse. I haven't seen any others.

I just saw that one when I was playing just now. All the maps look great.

One thing I didn't like...and it wasn't because of the game, was that I had 385 MS points before buying Pinnacle Station... I had to pay another $6.

Funnily enough, I recently wound up a run through of Mass Effect that I had previously left unfinished. Unfortunately, by the time Pinnacle Station was released, I had already touched on Ilos, so there was no turning back from that.

I'm not sure I could be bother starting up yet another game, just to play this DLC. I'd rather hold out for ME2 to get my next Mass Effect...

* Undisputed - Complete Ahern's survival mission (50)
* New Sheriff in Town - Take first place in any combat scenario on Pinnacle Station (50)
* Best of the Best - Take first place in 12 combat scenarios on Pinnacle Station (50)
