Paragon first, then I replay as a renegade, I find it difficult to be a renegade but at least the bad guy options fit in the overall story. Not like Fallout 3's "I'm the freaking Richard III of the wasteland, I kill everyone I meet, have you seen my daddy?"

I ended up 100% paragon with maybe 20% Renegade on both games. There were stages where I felt I should pick Renegade but the game would not understand my rationalisation for my decisions. There were a number of times that a Renegade decision had the possibility of saving many more lives with more certainty than the "all for one" dangerous choices of Paragon (note; this is why I had the 20% renegade, not the instances that my own justification of choices would not be understood by the game or the limited conversational options).

I find myself surprisingly incapable of being a Renegade in Mass Effect (one or two). Every time I try (I mean REALLY try) I always abandon the tainted character and go back to a Paragon one. Mass Effect gets to me too much for me to act like a dick to people.

Maybe it's cause the writing is good, or maybe it's cause I LOVE the science in the game and connect with it on a fathomless level and want to be good to it and love it passionately for nine glorious minutes in a bathroom stall.

Like with KOTOR, naturally paragon, but once I've got myself in the right mindset I can play through as renegade a couple of times to see the different stuff and rather enjoy it. Those idiots deserve what they get and I deserve forcing ever last penny available from everyone I meet.

But yeah, myself, me, RPing, first time and by default am the 'good guy' (or girl more often in ME what with the better voice acting).

I always play paragon and make the good decisions. I played evil on KOTOR the first time and the Star Forge was so hard with shitty Bastila and Canderous. Since then, I have always played a good character and ME2 is no exception

That depends on what gender my character is. If I play as male Shepard, I play Paragon. If I play as female Shepard, I play Renegade. I'm not really sure why.

Paragon most of the playthroughs, although i have to admit the Renegade line ;
"As this is a high-security vessel, you'll have to relinquish your weapons"
"I'll relinquish one bullet, where do you want it?"
Is pure awesome ^^

for the most part i play as paragon, just can't help myself. but i hate it that all the joking around and sarcasm are involved in the renegade section. i guess i should give renegade a try, but when i do i would still probably do some paragon stuff kus i don't want to be a complete dick. just a sarcastic ass.

When I was younger I'd always go bad or renegade in every game that gave me the choice. Now I always play Paragon. I just try to make the decisions I would make and that always ends up as paragon.

The first game, it kind of just made you seem like an asshole to be renegade, but the second one the renegade choices were just so...cool.

Paragon, since my guy liked being good and proffessional. Though I think I will be darker in ME2 when I finally get to it...all the stress and being forced to work for Cerberus is really ticking my Shepard off.
