I want to know - which version should I get?

I have a PS3 and a PC - Windows 7 w/ 2GB AMD video card and 8GB RAM. Both have 1080p displays.

Main concerns:
Graphics - how much better on the PC? especially shadows.
Bugs/Issues
Convenience - load times?
Dealing with Origin, easy to set up all 3 games? I have steam, never used origin.
Trophies (one of the reasons to get it on PS3)
DLC - how much $$? what is truly 'important' missing DLC? decent chance I'll just play it vanilla.
If I go download only on PC, how long do you think Origin will be around? I'd prefer physical though.

If I were you I'd get it on PS3. I haven't had to deal with origin myself. But from all the accounts I've heard, I'd rather not fuck with it at all. Other than that, its all the same to me.

Origin is past most of it's teething troubles now. I've actually found it much quicker and more convenient to work with than Steam; it's pitfalls come from it lacking in features by comparison and not going quite as all-out on the sales.

As far as graphics go, I only own the first Mass Effect and it looks alright. My brother has it on 360 and there's a noticeable gap, largely caused by the 360's much lower framerate and resolution. The shadows are hideous on both, but that's par for the course on Unreal Engine 3 (especially where multiple light sources are concerned). I dunno how it looks on PS3, but I hear it's been enhanced somewhat. I wouldn't be surprised if, in terms of assets, it's the nicer looking version.

The PC version of the other two will likely look better, but it's a matter of resolution and frame rate; I don't think the textures, lighting or geometry got any special attention.

The first game, at least, has a really low FOV, too. It actually caused me to throw up a little. If you have troubles with low FOVs, get the PS3 version. At least you can sit further back (you would be able to do this on PC... if it natively supported gamepads).

Obviously there are fixes for the FOV and gamepad issues on PC, but the PS3 version will just work when you put it in if you don't feel that 60FPS and 1080p are good enough reasons to faff about.
