So last time I tried this I was ill informed and too lazy to look it up myself. This time I have better knowledge of the films of May and want to give them a chance from the get-go. The title comes from the MTV Movie Beatdown from some time ago (sorely unfair to the actual interesting movies without IP tracking). Again I have bias but if I have musings on a movie I'll offer them. Here are trailers for the movies
I start here for the sake of some pondering. Why have the Sleeping Beauty story told from the angle of the villain? The Wikipedia description makes the title character sound less like pure evil to the core and more like misunderstood fairy who is constantly antagonized just because she sympathizes with creatures deemed evil by man rather than man itself. Not to mention that the angle makes the flexing of her power less impactful. In the animated film, Maleficent hardly flexed her own might, because of this the moments when she did had weight. It seems that in this movie, Maleficent will be doing it for most of the film making the inevitable change into a dragon less impressive.
Why the four TV Spots for Godzilla? Best shots. The main trailer was good but didn't show much, so I'm using those four Spots for a comprehensive picture.
These are the only movies I could find in May that the Escapist would care about, and before anyone says anything like last time, I checked before making the thread.
