Poll: ME3: Did you get the DLC?

Due to the amount of hate ME3 got, most of the reviews I have seen for the DLC have been mediocre at best and as BiowEAr seem to keep making more and more of it I wanted to know how many people are actually buying it.

Personaly I liked 90% of ME3. There were thing I did not like such as the quest journal, auto dialog, kai leng and his plot armor (who does he think he is Batman!?) and one bit I hated (guess which) but I still enjoyed most of it and I have replayed it a few times, stopping just after you speak to everyone on Earth for the last time.

That being said, as much as I enjoy it I will not buy any of the DLC for 2 reasons. First it changes nothing and I really wanted the ending to change (a guy can dream) and second after giving us that kick in the balls ending I do not thnik that they deserve any more of my money.

Bonus question. If they came out with a new ending, completly different, would you pay for it? I cannot decide myself as I am adamant that they not get any more of my cash for ME3 but I would love a new ending.

You know what? most of ME3 wasn't all that bad, sure there were some flaws but overall it was pretty good, had they taken the combat system from this game and the story from the first it would be an epic game.

As for the ending? Honestly I was good with the original ending, that being said I actually understood how everything worked and what decisions affected what so it didn't bug me, sure I would have liked something more spectacular, but I can live with what we got, I've seen much worse endings.

I bought the Omega DLC only because Aria is one of my favorite characters... well that and I conned my Dad into paying for it so it was basically free, it was fun enough either way, nothing special though.

For your BQ: Yeah. I would have liked to see the original planned ending in particular since apparently we never will.

I got a question for you though, and this is why I quoted you, have you actually completed the entire ending, like actually watched it and gotten to the credits as opposed to stopping where you said you did, (cuz there is more gameplay after that for starters), if you did fine, if not, I'm curious as to how you've come to conclusion that you didn't like it? (I'm sorry for that question, but I've listened to several friends rant about the ending and they've never actually played it and I'm wondering what's up with that).

I only bought From Ashes. It's the only piece of DLC I've ever purchased for any game along with Lair of the Shadow Broker for Mass Effect 2. Both of them seemed almost essential to the storyline to me, so I said fuck it and went against my morals. I hate to support the practice of DLC, but I did enjoy them. Still felt dirty as hell paying for them, but hey. The extended cut was great though, thoroughly enjoyed it.

I won't be buying anymore though.

Ah cool, well you should check out the EC synthesis and refusal (not the one where you shoot the boy) endings, those were probably the only two worth looking at out of the eight or so endings between the versions. Control and Destroy were pretty much unchanged.

As for your other point, people just do, same as judging a person by their appearance, there's already people saying the next DLC is going to be terrible and all we know is it may have to do with the Citadel . (whether or not it is bad remains to be seen, odds are not in Bioware's favor though)

Huh, kinda surprised there aren't more people who are interested in getting the DLC. Its understandable of course, just thought the number would be higher.

Anyways, prior to ME3 I had gotten all other Mass Effect DLC save Pinnacle Station, weapons that weren't free, and alternate appearance packs (although I was severely tempted to get the one for Garrus just so that annoying hole in his armor would be completely gone). Got the collectors addition of ME3 so I got From Ashes which was interesting.

Ending came, got depressed for two week but managed to get over it (at least as over it as you can get). Got the Extended Cut, and was actually happy with it (especially since it was free), and bought Leviathan after that (which I really felt should have been in the game. Actually makes the ending somewhat more tolerable, but eh).

Haven't gotten Omega yet, as I've been hearing that its kinda overpriced, so I'll just wait for a sale before getting it.

Have tried some of the free Multiplayer DLC, but with my severely limited hard drive space along with the fact that I don't play too much of the Multiplayer, its somewhat useless to me. They've come out with a lot of content for it though, which is really nice at least.

If they continue to come out with more Singleplayer DLC, I'll probably keep getting them. Most of them are usually worth the price.

Well I bought:
From Ashes: pretty damn fine thing, Javik is cool

Leviathan: pretty good as in plot-wise I liked it, many dialogues, though I don't like that they're making the reapers more and more un-Eldritch

Omega: well this one is just bad. Really, Omega DLC is just plain bad. 75% is running and gunning (piss easy, even for ME3 standards). New enemies:
Sth Mech - it was supposed to be like this melee mech i think. It goes down in two punches on hard =_=
Adjutant - first we get like OMG THEY ARE SO SCARY EVEN BADASS TURIAN CHICK WETS HERSELF THINKING ABOUT THEM... about as much threat as a brute (not much threat).

What I was surprised in was that they added Dragoons to Cerberus in Multi, and there's no sign of them in Omega... wtf

Plot-wise, it was the weakest thing with mass effect name since the original ending. Shepard is like "Let's take the Normandy and do it stealthy" Aria is then like

Also, Carrie Ann Moss seems totally uninterested in the character she's playing, during her 'big speech' she's sliding around like on retarded iceblades, and comes off as an arrogant, idiotic idiot.

Oh, and 'biggest DLC' my ass. It felt much shorter than Leviathan, and I didn't appreciate that they FORBID YOU FROM TAKING YOUR SQUAD MATES. Why? Because COSTS. They cut so much costs on that, christ. No extra lines for Javik, Garrus, James, Kaidan, Ashley, Joker, EDI, Cortez, you name them.


Basically it's imo the kind of crap Arrival was. All run and gun for no apparent reason, though Arrival at least TRIED to tell a story.

Fun fact, free DLCs for Mass Effect 3 (Multi ones and extended cut) are quite fun, while paid ones are dissapointing.
Though to be honest I didn't like BDtS from ME1, or Arrival, or even the much praised LoSB. They feel out of place for me.

The Gentlemen were quite scary, but I found the Silence and the Weeping Angels to be a touch scarier.

I bought all of them and can say that I quite enjoyed them.

Although the ending has disappointed me slightly,I won't blame the 95% of the game which I loved dearly.


Edit: All of single player DLC that is,I couldn't care less about weapon packs for multiplayer.

I don't really like any of the poll answers. I haven't got any, and I don't know if I plan on getting any, I may eventually but right now I really don't feel like it. My answer is close to the never but not really that angry looking. It is more of a possibly in the future but not sure.
As I have said before, it seems kind of weird going back to right before charging Cerberus with everyone waiting on your command and going "Wait! I need to save Omega first and find the Leviathan first. Just wait here guys"

Mass Effect 3 was a complete experience for me, it brought an end to my Mass Effect trilogy, my story and Shepard's. I don't really care for DLC they want to stick somewhere in the middle. If it was a kind of "banter pack" or added more companion-specific side missions to further fill them out, I might get that way down the road when I'm replaying the trilogy again.

Don't get me wrong, Leviathan and Omega sound neat and all, but I don't really feel the need to know anything more about the Reapers than I had already learned by the first and second games, and frankly Aria was cute and all but I don't think her story can keep me interested for several hours.

I have the main game DLC. Haven't played through Leviathan yet (want to wait until I pick up all my squadmates in my current playthrough before I do it). Omega was OK. It was too easy and Nyreen is barely there (even in relation to how short the DLC is). But I love Aria, and her Flare ability is fun as hell to use (though by far the most OP power in the game).

And I did get From Ashes with my Collector's Edition. That really should have been part of the vanilla game. Javik provides a ton of insight.

So yeah, I'll still be getting the DLC for the main game. I guess I have the multiplayer stuff too, since its released in patches (I think). But I haven't touched the multiplayer since around May, and don't plan on coming back to it. I don't want to play the multiplayer a ton, get bored of the gameplay, and then have that make the main game boring as well.

If they were to release something that takes place after the ending, then I'd likely sit that out. I always quit right before the charge to the Conduit-type thing. I'd rather just pretend that ending doesn't exist. That same rule would apply if Mass Effect 4 takes place after Mass Effect 3. But as for other content: I'm in.

Meh, I think I am close to burnt out on ME. The first game was fresh new fun, the second game was decent enough and the third game is feeling played out by the time I am getting to the end. I waited awhile to get ME3 until I could get it for $20. I have no desire to spend anymore money on DLC for little bits here and there.

The story is good, but the gameplay is a lot of the "corridor shooter" setup ever since the first game.

Plus, my backlog of games is far too long for me to care about DLC for anything at all hehe.

I've bought all the mission pack DLCs.
Honestly, Space Wizards 3 has the best gameplay of the series. All they could do to improve it at this point would be to bring back the Mako, do away with Thermal Clips in favor of 1's heat system, and remove execution moves from enemies like Banshees and Atlases and the gameplay would be perfect.
I would gladly buy a "Good ending DLC" for $15 or less, although I would wait to confirm that the new ending is in fact, not stupid.

I intend to get it all when I get back into that game, but for now I've only got bits of it. I still have some faith in Bioware to make good content, not as good as they used to, but still much better than most games out there, so y'know.

Bar the weapon and appearance packs, yes I have. I don't see the point in the additional weapons, since there will generally come a point in the game where (I imagine) people will be using a standard set of weapons for most of the game (Such as the Locust. Honestly, what is the point in any other SMG? Or the Black Widow).

On the subject of weapons, I'm sick of them releasing new weapons for the multiplayer. I don't want a selection of 50 different assault rifles! I just want to use the assault rifle I do use all the time at something higher than level 1!

Back OT... I got the collectors edition, which came with From Ashes, which is pretty fucking essential storywise if you ask me, also got Leviathan and Omega, and I'll be getting the next one too. I don't really have an issue with them, I just wish they felt more integrated into the game. Leviathan kinda does, because you can do it in sections, but Omega doesn't.

Maybe when I start my trilogy playthrough I'll play it as part of the game...

I sold on all three ME games before any of the priced DLC came out, and am not bothered about the DLC's for good or for bad. I didn't really care for ME3 very much, even beyond the ending I felt the game was average at best, especially the writing. Which is a shame considering how much I liked the first two (I played them through at least 6 times each).

I am no longer "angry" about the whole ME3 ending mess, but the game was disappointing enough to put me off of the series.

I got the Prothean DLC, largely because I had spare points on my account and nothing else to use it on. I still don't agree with it not being free with new purchases, but... meh.
