I would like to know why everyone [Well, quite a few of you..] believe that Metal Gear Solid: Guns of the Patriots, needs a sequel! I personally believe the ending wrapped everything up nicely..

So, the question is, Why do we want a sequel?

Well, what they're likely going to do is cover Raiden's childhood serving as a solider more thoroughly. A minor point that they were trying to emphasize in MGS4 was how horrible the war economy was for the children, and I think that the prequel is likely going to expand upon that.

I was questioning this too, at first, but as long as Kojima's behind the wheel, I have no criticisms.

Because without a sequel, Kojima-sama would have to actually think of a completely new franchise and start a whole new interesting story. But that kind of thing is highly inappropriate and blasphemous, as the gaming industry would have us believe.

Because Metal Gear Solid is a series that makes a lot of money and the videogame industry has a habit of milking everything dry, regardless of whether or not the series itself suffers because of it.
