I would like to know why everyone [Well, quite a few of you..] believe that Metal Gear Solid: Guns of the Patriots, needs a sequel! I personally believe the ending wrapped everything up nicely..

So, the question is, Why do we want a sequel?

Who said that it needed a sequel..?
I've yet to encounter one person who says it does.

Because you touch yourself.

Honestly I haven't heard any clamor for a sequel then again the people I hang out with don't play MGS or own a PS3.

Well, let me rephrase.

Why does everyone want MGS5 to be made? Yes, the franchise is good, but MGS4 concluded.. Everything..
well isn't metal gear solid: rising supposed to be a prequel to the forth game?

Well the thing is if you think about it, it can't be a sequel. The cover art plainly shows raiden in that crazy armor-robot-suit-thing, and it was removed at the end of MSG4. So I think that it is actually a retelling of MSG4 from Raidens perspective, hence the subtitle "Lightning Bolt Action". Possibly because Hideo Kojima thought that he has to explain every detail of whatever the hell Raiden was doing when he wasn't on screen for us to know the FULL story.

Almost everything. They never really explained how Raiden saved Sunny.

Anywho, if they made a sequel I'd play it. I love MGS.

I'm a huge PS3 fan and I think if I had to pick one game I hated for the system, it would be MGS4. I've alway had a PS2, and hated everythinh about MGS. (I have played all the games and traded them back in) So I don't think it needs ANOTHER one.

It doesn't need a sequel. MGS4 closed everything up just fine.. as difficult to understand as it may have been.

I didn't see any cliff hangers at the end of MGS4... so what else is there to tell? Other than going MGS3 style and doing something in the past with Big Boss, as they're doing with Peace Walker.

But even that is still unnecessary since the story is quite understandable and flows just fine without it.

Now MGS Rising... THAT'S very unnecessary.
