Often times when a movie or game is expected to be popular theaters and game outlets will hold midnight releases for them. And if they're really popular they may even hold events around the midnight releases. My question is do you go to them and why or why not?

Nope.

Mostly because I order my games online and I usually get them a day before release anyway :D

'Oh, midnight release you say? Nah, I've been playing it for 6 hours already :D'

Really? I'm surprised that retailers aren't up in arms about that. I've herd tales of developers getting pissed if they sell the game even a little early.

Online retailers need to ship games early in order to guarantee their delivery by the release date.

More often than not, my games get delivered early :D

The only time I ever went to midnight release was for SSB Brawl

I don't even know why I did that.
