I've played a few MMO RPG's before, and so I've got half an opinion on them, but I'd like to know the opinions of other people

I dont play many, because I am not a major PC gamer, but I like what I have played. Really though, I wish they made a true MMO out of the first NWN, since I loved that game online, though I would hope RPing would be commonplace since that is where I excelled.

Generalizing is just... Agh.

The only MMOs I tolerate are Ragnarok Online, Guild Wars and Warhammer Online for PvP and City of Heroes for character customization.

I only like MMOs as long as you don't ahve to pay monthly for them. I like Guild Wars, it has a good storyline and it's great fun.

There is a few different factors that determine which MMORPGs I play:

Firstly, the difficulty curve. If it takes too long to know how to play the game, or there is no tutorial for a more complex game, I won't play it.
Secondly, the fun-level. If the game is no fun, or seems like a second job, then I won't play.
Lastly, the community. If the community is a bunch of pricks, or a bunch of five year-olds, then I won't play the game.

Sorry for the list-type response, but it was the best way to convey my opinions on MMORPGs.

The reason I don't play mmos that much is because I have a rather addictive personality, but I love the concept and think they're very fun.

Hmm, doesn't seem to be too many people that hate MMOs, was thinking most people would be haters.

(Hi, Im new to The Escapist)

MMORPGs are fun. But, they need a very large time comitment, and with so many other great games out there MMORPGs don't worth my time.
I tried playing some MMOs (MU [yuch], WOW [Can be boring, but I see the charm], Maple Story [Play at your own risk, highly addicting], Guild Wars [somehow comes to me as "the avarage guy"]) but none of them ever really compared to a single player RPG, and Online FPSs are much better as a multiplayer experience.

In DDO you can multiclass.

You can in Guild Wars but that doesn't make it any good.

JOKING, GW is alright I guess.

I can multiclass in Guild Wars and in Neverwinter Nights. But I've been thinking about trying out DDO for a long time now...

Ramp up the graphics a bit too please ;)

If you ignore that the NWN games are legend.
