I need a new game to handle my online FPS fix. Halo:Reach just doesn't do it for me. What game do you think will have a larger/longer lasting multiplayer community? I'm leaning toward CoD myself.

Medal of Honor is all but set to be a colossal flop. It doesn't look like it brings much new to the table at all, and it will be running up right in between Reach and COD: Black Ops, which Activision is really pushing to be as good as possible since Infinity Ward is now gone.

So I would go with COD, if you're not tired of the franchise already.

(I think that other new military shooter that got delayed, which I cannot remember by name, the one they were showing with move support, actually looks pretty good and I'm more interested in that that MoH.)

EDIT: And welcome to the forums.

MOH looks kinda basic, but it should be good fun. CoD looks kinda good, but so did MW2.

As on multiplayer community, CoD will be bigger and last longer. MOH will attract less people, which might not be a bad thing, since the ammount of people in CoDs easily end up with more douchebags.

I'd wait for reviews.

Ehh, I'd pass on both as they both look like downgraded rehashes of previous games of their respective series/genres. Medal of Honor is Battlefield Bad Company 2 without as many class options, while Black Ops isn't too different from previous Call of Duty entries aside from Wager Matches. If I had to pick one, I'd go with Medal of Honor if I didn't have Bad Company 2 with me, and Black Ops if I had Bad Company 2 but not COD 4. Black Ops will probably sell more given that it is COD; it's already massed more pre-orders than previous games from what I've heard.

Versus Threads = Bad. But I'll say COD. Even though I hate the series, the new COD actually looks decent.

Could it be the new SOCOM game?

If you're not tired of CoD yeat (I know I sure aren't), go with Black Ops. Medal Of Honor looks just like a rehash of BC 2.

Even if MoH is critically received (something I doubt), CoD has a numerous fanbase, as well as more hype. So it's servers probably won't be abandoned for a long, long while. I mean, people still play CoD 4 and World at War, so yeah.

There are already a long line of CoD fanboys anticipating the next game. For medal of honour, the line is slighty smaller.

Yes I think that's it! At first the move controls sounded gimmicky, but later hands-on articles made them sound snappier, and the delay can only mean good things for their support. If I get the move (which to be fair seems unlikely in the near future), that would be one of the first games I would want to try.

Anyway, to get more on topic.. I personally played a lot of COD4, skipped WaW, played MW2, am going to skip Black Ops.. and will see what they put out next year. I'll be playing Reach this year and (by the looks of it) Gears 3 next year. Phew. Lots of shooters! (I swear I like other games too! Currently anticipating: Arkham City, Epic Yarn, 3DS and lots more!)

CoD! MoH looks rather bland, and it's Treyarch's turn for CoD, it looks excellent. I seem to be the only person on this site that likes WaW, so I'm a supporter of Treyarch over IW. In any case, it's garunteed to at least be a perfectly adequate shooter (I'm most CoD complaints are exaggerated snobbery), but MoH could be squiffy.

Another point in CoDs favor is that the stupid edition comes with a remote control car. :p And I actually don't own any of the previous CoDs, Don't own Bad Company, and the only MoH I've played was Airborne.
