We have several promising cartoons coming down the pipeline for 2015 and beyond, What's your most anticipated among these poll choices? I'm definitely looking foward to Star Vs. the Forces of Evil. It's kind of like Adventure Time with a girl, only set in High School. It's got amazing animation and some pretty creative designs. Lets hope its good enough for longevity.

Dude you should't post threads that will lead very little posts because the Escapist will ban and unlike toonzone the people on the escapist aren't into western animation that much

The Legends Of Korra: Book 5!
Oh...wait....

Well, I have a degree of faith that mankind will get their shit together long enough to get Mike DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko to make a "Avatar:The Next Earthbender" series.
So that's what I'm looking forward to. The next Avatar cartoon.

I, am not sure what you're on about, but if what you say is true. This is not the place for me. There is nothing wrong with discussion of any topic or western animation. I actually prefer western animation over anime. Especially since anything I've liked in anime required it to either be beautifully creative or have a sound story that enriches itself. A lot of the humor doesn't translate well, and neither dubbing or subbing has been all that great at finding ways around that. Tokyo Godfathers, Paprika, or Puella Magi Madoka Magica are wonderful from an art perspective. Lovely Complex was an endearing story, and actually did a lot with it's themes. Same with Princess Jellyfish. I have no love for Bleach, DBZ, or Naruto as the story is shallow and the art doesn't hold a fullness needed for me.

Western animation has been slowly rebuilding itself, and that is exciting. Adventure Time has a vivid art style, and themes that we haven't really covered before. Over The Garden Wall was a stunning example of a narrative and how you can mix up your animation styles, mid episode mind you, to change the tone of a piece. Gravity Falls is a spiral of references that houses the mystery of a deeper lore in a campy outer shell. Both the avatar series was great story telling, and even did something unique with themes like war, gender relationships, and character development. They could have done more, but you're limited in scope focuses them down a little.

Limiting your ingestion to simply one kind of art will not nurture you. Just as limiting your food ingestion to one type of food will not. Please do not act negatively when discussions on art happen, I suggest reading them fully and then taking what you have learned to seek out new things. Always seek out new things..

(On topic, I have not heard about any of these, but will absolutely go looking them up to educate myself on them, and will post here my opinion and perhaps favorite)

I realize this is a bit of a necro-quote, but:

I don't think the OP has anything to worry about. The Escapist only has rules against low content posts (aka replying with a quote and "This" or just posting a link), not unpopular threads. I would have been banned long ago if they did. I seem to have a special talent for making threads nobody replies to.

I wouldn't advocate packing your bags just yet. I don't think the Escapist is hostile towards western animation (except possibly MLP due to a massive influx of brony threads a while back and the inevitable shitstorms that followed), it's just a topic that doesn't crop up very often. There is a much larger anime scene around here though, so take from that what you will.

Back on-topic, I'm afraid I haven't heard of any of these shows. I have a harder time keeping up as I grow older. The most recent cartoon I've watched is Wander Over Yonder, so..."Other," I guess? I am eagerly awaiting season 2, particularly since
There's going to be a bigger, badder villain than Lord Hater, complete with story arcs!

There's also season 5 of FiM, but I think I'd better stop right there (again, brony threads...they never end well).

You know what could helped OP other than knowing how to embed Youtube video, post the rest of the upcoming cartoon shows!

OT- I too vote for Star vs. the Force of Evil and no it wasn't becauese of the OP video well kinda since I already knew about that upcoming show before this thread was made. That intro is so god danm catchy!!

Also I haven't heard the other cartoon shows other than Transformers: Robot in Disguise which I am not looking forward too. I prefered the mature tone from Prime than the kiddy outlook that show got. They better make loads of reference to the franchise to changed my mind!
