Aye, we do have nice accents alright. Although a heavy Dublin or Belfast accent can be a bit hard on the ears.

Christ, I'll second that. I love how the Irish accent can be depicted as "musical" and "lilting" when the people saying this have never been to, say, the arse-end of Carlow. Trying to find an attractive accent there can be a bit tricky.

OT: I'd have to say French. I lived in France for a few years and attended a French-speaking school for most of my childhood, so maybe it's just positive association. I'm still not particularly fond of the Marseilles accent, though.

I'm amazed the English accent ranks so highly being English myself... Is that just the male accent? Living (fairly) close to North London I find the female accent is atrocious!

Irish and Scottish, even the proper harsh ones. I got a few funny looks for saying a boy with a mad glasgae accents voice was hot, but yeah. And Russian ofc. Idk I'm not too keen on French and Spanish and stuff of guys.

We were listening to the radio when they said that the results from a poll showed that German was the most attractive accent. German? I would have put as one of the least attractive accents.

I like a german accent on a guy. (Only when speaking German though.)
Also, Irish, French and Italian. (Again, French when speaking French, and Italian when speaking Italian) Being able to flirt in 4 languages makes holidays fun!

I just don't like the German accent on girls. Or Irish for that matter.

Irish seems to be the consensus here, I'll have to be more specific and say Northern Irish cause, for girls at least, the accents seem to be a lot softer and just generally more hardon-inducing.
