Poll: Most hated Resident Evil Character

I would have to say that Ashley was the most useless character I've ever encountered. I'm not big on escort missions and devoting half a game to it with a whiny annoying brat... I wonder if her father didn't help stage the kidnapping just to get the yappy little tart out of his hair.

Sheva was a great character I found and its cool to see more characters in games that aren't suffering from a DiD syndrome (Damsel in Distress) or one who's only role in the game is like the female companion in the Prince of Persia: Sands of Time game who only seemed to be in there for the sarcasm factor. ((I would have said the new PoP but she actually had a purpose which was making sure you didn't die.))

Its probably going to be a bit jarring reading this but I wish they would stop making female characters sexed up. Sheva wasn't too too bad and I'm just talking about video games in general.

Favorite characters?

Wesker, Luis and Krauser... who are all dead now that I think about it.

Rebecca Chambers from RE1 because she was just irritating and just sounded annoying.

Sheri Berkin from RE2 because ive got better things to do than babysit when there are zombies about.

Nemesis from RE3 even though he was badass he just kept irritating me when he kept coming back even after you killed him for like the 10th time. Oh and Carlos trying to be a hero all the time.

Alfred Ashford from Code Veronica, he was just really annoying with his squeely girl like voice and was probably 1 step away from being a women. Well he was for part of the game but still.

Ashley from RE4 as she was always getting captured and screaming for help and i just gave up trying to protect her in the end. Roman Salazar also because to be honest a 2ft tall hobbit in a sailor costume whos voice is like nails on a chalkboard just irritating.

Sheva from RE5 as shes useless.

To people that say Sheva is Dumb-Bot, are you playing Pro mode? I was on Pro a while ago and she wasn't *so* stupid. She didn't shoot me, at the very least.

Really? no matter what difficulty I play it on (Veteran and upwards for fun), she always seems to enjoy wasting ammo and shooting me in the back.
I'm glad in some respects that she won't use a rocket launcher.
but in the wesker boss fight in the hangar? she runs in a HUGE circle so that he sees me from a mile away. she hates me.

Dunno what to do for you then =/
Try sending her out to attack? Tell her to fall back? Send her to get an item?

The Game just came out and your having Flashbacks. Also out of people to hate from that Game Irving should be on everyone's top choice. He looks like Nick Stahl from Terminator 3 and sounded like a Villain from the 50's.

Other, Which would have to be that Irving guy in Re5. That pussy runs away for half the game then infects himself thinking he would be as bad ass as Wesker. Then after you defeat him he pretty much bites his own tongue off and dies.

I absolutely hated the fact that sheva got use that rpg at the very end of the game when this was her first appearance! considering Jill, who has been around since game 1, should've had that honor.

I hate Wesker. Wasted, wasted potential. They built him up slowly, then turned him into a complete idiot by the time RE 5 rolled around. Seriously? They guy can teleport, dodge bullets, punch girders, but he can't beat up two people armed with guns and stuff?

7 minutes. 7 minutes is all the time I have to play with you.

Definitely Ashley for me. She doesn't carry a gun, she constantly gets in the way and ends up dead, and every little thing that comes out of her mouth is annoying as hell. I lost count a long time ago of how many times I've wanted to just smack the **** out of her...

On the other hand, you can quite often stuff Ashley in a dumpster to keep her out of the way while you go take care of business, and she doesn't waste entire magazines of 9mm ammunition in the chests of zombies infected Africans at a range where one could pretty much stick the barrel of the weapon up the target's nose.

Capcom's implentation of an AI partner in RE5 was as flawed as their "improved for the PC" controls.

Mila Jovovich. Can't stand her "acting" or those awful movies...

Though if we're talking purely in-game? Yeah, Sheva gets the prize. Very generic, utterly forgettable and could be replaced with practically anyone or anything short of a ham sandwich and it'd still play out unchanged.
