Funny, the two right off the top of my head, were, in order: 2Fort and Blood Gulch.
Multiplayer map is a kinda broad term; I think it's interesting that people have stronger associations with it in regards to FPS games than racers or RTS or MOBA, whatever... If I had to hazard a guess as to why, it would probably be to do remembering the dimensions of a (virtual) physical space by way of exploring it 'with your eyes' at ground level. We form stronger associations of memory to spaces we move through, even if they don't exist.
As an aside, I never felt wake island was a particularly strong map, in of itself; just one that was recognized and recycled a lot. While I think it's fair to complain that 2Fort of Blood Gulch lend themselves to 'samey' matches, they're nearly perfect design of symmetrical 'figure 8' CTF maps.
