Poll: Most Overused Gaming Threads

Okay let's be upfront and honest with ourselves: Gaming Threads are usually repeats. Whether it be the over-plowed fields of BEST or WORST GAME EVAR!! or "I Wuv Fallout 3 because (insert reason here)."

So what will I do to stand out among the countless threads of Pokemon, Mass Effect 1-2, and Zelda?

Why a POLL of course! High-Ho Originality!!!!

I don't mind that your a new kid on the Escapist block, but anything (in my opinion) above "muckraker" reflects badly from a creative stand-point when posting Best Game EVER!!!!! on the Escapist Gaming Forum. It's just mediocre (to me). Calm down I'm not saying you shouldn't do it anymore, but I challenge people to post creative threads on these forums rather than rehashes of overused topics.

I'm not one to throw stones when it comes to overused threads so this is more of a challenge to all Escapist's out there (including yours truly).

So here's the question: What game franchise do you think is the most overused topic for discussion on the Gaming Forum for the Escapist? Hell for kicks and raucous giggles lets broaden this out beyond the Escapist and talk about Game Forums in general. Shalom.

It's Halo. I personally don't like the game but I'm tired of seeing anti-Halo and pro-Halo threads.

Mass Effect 2 and MW2 were done way too much, and still are.

The most overused game is MW 1 and 2 but the most overused topic is what you would bring into the real world.

There is no argument that MW2 was SO over done around, during and prior to release. Anyone argues CLEARLY they were not here for the extent of it.

Halo. There's never been a dearth of "Tihs is why the Halo series sux" threads. Also, MW2 is too recent of a game to rack up as many flamer points as Bungie's posterchild.

Mass Effect 2 threads, definitely. I know the game just came out and everything, but seriously, it seems as if there is a new ME2 thread every 30 minutes.

I'm getting rather tired of the ME2 threads now. Love the game, just hate the number of threads it has garnered.

I would complain about all the repeat game threads but the storm has probably passed for now and anyway it is better than all of the "I hate" and "worst ever" threads we get when there isn't a big release.

I'd say Modern Warfare, for two reasons. First, Halo hype has died down recently. Second, Modern Warfare is an awesome franchise, but it just doesn't have enough substance to warrant so much discussion, especially considering that most every thread about it is just pointless bitching about multiplayer glitches and the online community.

I have seen 50 million threads on LoZ. It drives me insane.

I've only seen a few MW threads though; I'm surprised it's winning in the poll.

I still haven't played Mass Effect 1 either, so I NEVER click on ME 2 threads to avoid spoiling the game, I really wanna try out both games eventually so I avoid ME 2 threads like the plague.
