hi guys :) i was playing bulletstorm just now and got a pretty bad case of motion sickness now. as of now i'm still feeling nauseated. so what games made you have motion sickness before? or are you those lucky enough not to experience anything?

Can't remember getting motion sickness from a game, but I believe the camera i Uncharted made me feel slightly uncomfortable when I was trying to look around a room.

No--but then, I don't get motion sick at all. It drives my wife crazy. She gets queasy on trains, and don't even talk to her about flying, but I can, say, go on rides like the Tilt-A-Whirl all day long.

Not once, it must be said. I don't get motion sickness from motion, even... the only transport related thing I get is terrible ear-pain from flying.

Only when playing games, reading a book, or watching a movie in a car, I dunno why. In a train/plane I'm fine, but not in a car.

Ratchet & Clank made me dizzy when I watched my friend start walking up walls.

I couldn't play Portal for more than ten minutes before I had to rush to the bathroom.

I'll say right now that this does not mean they are bad games. It just means my stomach thinks they're bad, but it's always hungry so I suppose it never knows what it's thinking.

Not in a game, no. When I was younger I would get carsick, but I grew out of it.

I have never experienced gaming-induced motion sickness.

Depends on the game, in Portal, FEAR, and The Darkness I got some pretty bad sim sickness and quit the games. Well, I finished The Darkness after some time (I had to take breaks)...

I do get seasick and airsick but it's pretty moderate, and with a dramamine I'm good to go...

I never get motion sickness. The only exception being when I had my first and only caffeine high whilst attempting to stay awake for 288 hours straight. I had 15 cans of Red Bull around the 120 hour mark, and ended up spinning on an office chair very quickly for two hours.

I stood up, fell down, stood up again, then puked and blacked out.

Not a fun time.

Can you turn down the head-bob? I used to have to turn down the head-bob on many 3D FPSs in the old days, it doesn't happen now and I don't know what changed.

not typically, but one time i had to lie down after playing L4D for a bit. however, i think i was just not feeling good to begin with, and the gaming simply exacerbated my existing nausea.

Most games that don't have a fixed camera will give me simulator sickness after awhile. At one point I was trying to build up a tolerance by playing Minecraft for a few minutes a day, but I didn't see any improvement (probably because I got frustrated and gave up on the process too soon).

I don't really get motion sickness too much. I can ride in boats, read in the car, and so on without much trouble.

I suffer from DIMS (Doom-Induced Motion Sickness). Basically any early FPS that has pseudo 3-D effects like Doom, Wolfenstein and Dark Forces make me feel nauseous after playing them for about half an hour.

I'm good to go for just about everything else, including reading in a car.

Once, while playing Star Wars Battlefront on a laptop while on a car trip, but that was it.
Sometimes if I'm tired, maybe.

My dad got serious motion sickness when he played Wolfenstein for the first time way back when.
He only tried it once, after a friend loaned it to him for a bit.

He only really started playing games when I did, back when I was seven or so.

Never had any trouble. Not in Doom, nor Descent. Not even when playing as alien in Alien VS Predator (pc) and their lightning-fast, nausea-inducing wallcrawling.

I laugh at motion sickness!

Never have I experienced it, despite my frequent reading in cars, travelling in high seas and numerous roller coaster rides.
It seems silly that anyone could get it from playing a game.

Yes. Every FPS on console gives me motion sickness. It's not terrible motion sickness, but it's enough to make me drowsy and dizzy. Funnily enough though, I get no motion sickness from the PC.
