Poll: Multi-Console Online

Im pretty sure most of you would like something like this, but i want to know how many of you don't want it.

(The following is a scenario, and no matter how much i wish it was, its not true)

"Zipper Interactive, developers of MAG have announced that they have signed a contract with Microsoft to put MAG on the 360 and the PC. The greatest news of this is that they have also announced that MAG will be Joint-Online with all 3 gaming systems, so the PS3, 360 AND PC gamers will be able to erupt in a epic battles. CEO of Zipper Interactive Jim Bosler quoted "Let the real console war, commence". (False) link to the announcement here here."

Personally, i would love it because i could finally play online with friends who have a 360 and/or PC. But i wouldn't go fanboy about winning, i think it would just be fun.

EDIT: I forgot to mention the Wii, i don't hate it, i just didn't see it working in MAG.

And do I really have to get into detail the gamepad and mouse+keyboard competition, or lack thereof?

Console users would get fucking steamrolled on FPS and RTS games.

It does sound nice, but certain games would be a bit unbalanced since mouse and keyboard players in Fps's can jump and do a seven hundred and twenty degree turn efforlessly by just turning down the sensitivity, It's so much easier to master on the Pc to a controller meaning aiming would be sharp, On the other hand, Controllers have buttons which are easy to locate without thinking.

Then again, not all games are FPS. Turn based games would work quite nicely though. I really can't delve out of my depth with any other genre for opinions, but when i expand my genres i will.

It's a nifty little idea, i'd like to see how it turns out. Even if it's terrible, It was worth a try hm?

Yeah i made an example to a friend a few weeks ago about Endwars being a perfect multi-console, but i was hinting more about RTSs in general, or a turn based tactical game, even.

I would love to see this, it would add A LOT more people to the online gameplay, and would generally be pretty fun.

Possibly even end the console wars! Harr harr.

Wii can barely support a 10 player online multiplayer, let alone 256.

I don't htink it would be a very good idea. First of all Console Gaming is generally more laggy and can't hold as many people in a server than PC. Second of all, Console Gamers will get more annoyed at the fact that loads of people on PC gaming hack stupid amounts, so I'd prefer if it never happened.

now all we need is borderlands/street fighter 4 amd left 4 dead to join up
