Well if I could do that I would do a great many thing like seeing both bands at the same time.ThePantomimeThief said:Sell the tickets, build a time machine, and then go back in time and see Nine Inch Nails. Now THERE is the best live band in the world. O2 Arena on their final tour was probably the best experience of my life.
It's actually a tough call. I've seen both bands live a couple of times, Muse are great live but U2 I think care a little bit more about emotion during their songs - One, Bullet The Blue Sky, Still Haven't Found, etc. There's a real passion that you don't quite get from Muse's songs. Having said that, I'd probably go Muse anyway, just in case they play Stockholm Syndrome. They're super-fun onstage and put on a good show.
I think you meant to say: both bands are past their peak, but U2 have been past theirs for a substantially longer amount of time.BonsaiK said:Oh okay, so they booked a second show... well, frankly I think both bands are a bit of a waste of time live, letting their video screens and lighting effects do too much of the talking, but if I had to choose I'd pick Muse. U2 are so far past their peak it's like watching a U2 cover band, Muse at least are riding high right now and will probably never be this good again.
Yeah I kinda did mean to say that, but I was trying to be polite. Given that the OP actually likes both of these bands I'm doing my best to be constructive from his point of view, and keep my real opinion of them under my hat.Treefingers said:I think you meant to say: both bands are past their peak, but U2 have been past theirs for a substantially longer amount of time.BonsaiK said:Oh okay, so they booked a second show... well, frankly I think both bands are a bit of a waste of time live, letting their video screens and lighting effects do too much of the talking, but if I had to choose I'd pick Muse. The value that guitar would have. I'm not at the front so I won't be getting anything. sure pays to be right in front.rookie.of.the.year said:Muse are very very immense and brilliant live
When I went Matt Bellamy gave away his guitar at the end of the set... unfortunately I wasn't at the front to nab it![]()

That said, ideally what you ought to do is first build a time machine, travel back in time to their Black Holes and Revelations tour (or just any time before they released The Resistance) and see them then instead, because The Resistance and everything else post BLaR is shithouse.
Me too! the balloons with the acrobats, beautifulEagle Est1986 said:Muse put an Epic show on, I saw them at Wembley Stadium 3 years ago and it was awesome. I'm going again on Saturday and I can't wait.
Also, I didn't realise anyone actually liked U2.
