I believe that music has always been important in culture since the beginning of time. I believe it is even more so since the start of the 20th century. Music has been a life saver for me at least, and not just one genre, I love a lot of different music from jazz and blues to pop to acapella and doo-wap to hip hop, even some classical. (favorite would have to be classic rock though). Enough about me, music, in my opinion, greatly influences the human mind the heart. I can impact actions and impact events. Although I have heard opinions contrary to my own. So I am curious, do you guys think music is important...to anything?
P.S. I don't just answer the poll, let's hear everyone's opinions. LET THERE BE GREAT DISCUSSION!

It's obviously an emotional outlet, and from my experiences(I'm the drummer for a band)music lets you find similar minded people and sorta bond over your similar likes and dislikes.

Music is art, except rap, which doesn't even qualify as music.
Music is born from, and gives birth to emotion and expression. Sundays.......Mondays......Happy Days.......
Rap is music, its just lazy dudes talking, while playing techno in the background.Who is to say what is and what isn't art. Some people look at Picasso and think wtf, while others respect it and see what hes trying to express.
