Everybody has their favorite music style, let it be any.
I myself am a dedicated metal and OLD rock fan, as techno/drum n bass come next in the list, then epic and orchestral. The rest can suck i big black rooster (if you get the pun)

NOTE: If you have sub-genres or other non listed music styles, just write a comment and choose the next best thing from the poll.

All Metal, new and old.

And rock, punk rock, everything rock.

Also various types of screamo mixes, such as screamo/rock/rap.

Metal, rock and one synthpop artist.

I don't know what is considered new or old. O_O

This is the first time I've ever been ninja'd in one of these threads. Congratulations.

EDIT:

Also, your poll needs major work.

Every poll option you listed, with the exception of both forms of pop (I like jpop though, but I do not listen it too much) and rap.

I've always been a bit of an alternative fan, starting out with the Velvet Underground and Stooges, going on through punk, alt. rock and now the various flavours of indie.
But really, I'm kindof into most things. Got lots of jazz, classic rock, rap, pop and metal (new and old, but the new stuff probably isn't what a the majority listen to).

Only thing I'm really lacking in is classical. Can anyone recommend me some things to get me started?

Metal and rock, mostly old, though I don't have a problem with the new stuff (just haven't gotten around to listening to a lot of it).

An option that says other is really necessary.

My favorite genre is ska.

I'll just leave these here, with the first being my favorite song.

Old pop, techno, as well as both old and new rock. Compared to old classics like Peter Gabriel, most of modern pop music seems to pale in comparison.

Does New Metal mean Nu-Metal? Because I don't like that.

I like metal, rock, punk, and derivatives of them (Ska-punk, etc...) based on quality, no release date.
