I'd probably become a recluse and live alone in a cabin in the woods, making puppets and dolls for a living. That way if something accidentally stumbled upon my residency, they would feel more awkward about the hundreds of raggedy ann knock-offs rather than the guy with a face that reminds them of charred pizza. That would be my silver lining.
I'd kill myself, I like other people too much to turn into something that could kill them when my mind deteriorates.
