Didn't buy it and didn't pirate it either! I played though the single player on one of my roommates PC's while he was away for the weekend (with his permission, of course!). It was fun, but the story was TERRIBLE. I was just laughing at how little sense it made.

I never tried multiplayer. For one my roommate instructed me "don't play online on my account!" so I didn't, but with IWNET there's no way I'd ever fucking go near that thing anyways.

The problem with these boycotts is that the majority are just whining and complaining.

A boycott means not partaking of something.

Bot buying it used as a "FUCK YOU!"
Not pirating it as a "FUCK YOU!"
Not hacking it as a "FUCK YOU!"

All you're doing is saying "I really want to play this, but I need to justify it."

I mean kudos to those who have yet to play it, but the rest of you, just shut up about it already.
Buying a game used is the perfect way to say "FUCK YOU" to a company. Especially if you never said you were going to boycott it, but still want to send a message. Nothing pisses companies like Activi$ion off more than knowing people are playing their products, and they aren't making a single cent from it.

Meh, with a couple of good mates the multiplayer can be a blast. Single-player and spec-ops were a tad medicore, but both have their merits.

Not that it matters anymore, I now have Mass Effect 2 ^^.

I didn't get it, I was looking forward to Call of Pripyat much more, and so far I have sunk about 10 hours into it, and I got it on Friday evening, and I had work for 9 hours on Saturday.
So for less of a quater of the price I got a game that is longer (I am not even in Pripyat yet) and incredibly deep.

A freind pirated it, but his apathy for the game was such that he istalled it then played it about a week later for 20 mins before giving up and coming out for a smoke with me.

I was never really on the boycott wagon, sicne if your boycotting somthing it means you intended to buy it, and I was never all that excited about it.

I told myself that I wouldn't buy it, and I didn't. My main reason was the dedicated servers. I never raised my voice about it, or joined any boycotts. Just voted with my wallet.

I downloaded it... and glad I did. BC2's MP beta is already so much more fun than MW2.

Didn't buy it but played it at a friends house, and it wouldnt have been worth the $60 anyways, maybe $20 but I doubt it will go that low

I haven't bought it, I borrowed it off my cousin yesterday but that was only to see if my internet lags at all. Seeing as I always had green bars I am now going to buy Bad Company 2, which I played at a friends house and enjoyed quite a bit.

Well guys, it's been 103 days since MW2 release (counting today).

Who did not cave in to the pressure of the games release. As in who kept their promises to themselves in the end.

I can proudly say I did not, and here's the link to my 2 STEAM pages as proof of lack of purchase.

... why do we need proof that you didn't purchase it?

Or are you just taking an unneccesary step in proclaiming that you didn't?

At any rate, I rented MW2, but then, I never made a claim I wouldn't buy it or play it or whatever.

MW2 is not as good as the original MW, but none of that matters because none of them are as good as battlefield. :D
Links was purely in case a troll said "BS".

I bought it and am enjoying it quite a bit. So long as you play it on a team of friends and mute everyone else in the lobby, then it's pretty fun online.

Of course, I see exactly where you PC gamers are coming from by not buying it. They really fucked it up on PC, and I never would've bought it for one.

Yes, I did buy it.

Bugt really why is this coming up now, so long after the game was released. Anyway, if it's not the L4D2 boycotters, it's MW2 boycotters.

Both may unfortunately exist, but things would still be a lot better if we didn't hear them.

lol what's the issue, ffs its an alright game, i bought it for ps3, i wasn't willing to pay the full initial £50, but got it at 40 (yeah hardly better but whatever), why would u specifically boycott a game, sure maybe if they spent sometime on a game rather than releasing one every year for the fanboys, but yeah its a decent enough game which is fun to play with friends, calm down silly people

I got it for christmas, so technically I didn't buy it.
I don't regret it, because even if I had foreseen the future where I would be insanely bored of it, I was not part of the boycott and the trailer and gameplay footage made it look like jesus made a videogame.

I didn't because of the online and the insane amount of hype that it's gotten. Chances are if I ever pick it up I will be disappointed because of all the hype it's getting and I'm tired of everyone telling me to buy it. Also, I didn't care much for the first Modern Warfare.

I bought it for consoles because I realized how much of a failure it would be on PC. I also didn't decide to hate it because I wanted to be the edgy rebel who hates the next popular game to come out. When you go into a game thinking it will be good; it will be good and vice versa.

Nope, but it was a gift, so I played it anyways to give it a go.
Not great, but worth it. It just has the lowest ratio of fun compared to money spent making it.

Since if a game has multiplayer, I'm always going to play the multiplayer, I hate the new stuff they have for Call of Duty, it's like World of Warcraft, who the hell wants to level up in an FPS?
