Poll: MW2 Boycotters question.

I bought it on PC and according to Steam I've just hit 100hours played on it, I think about 90% of those 100hours were extremely enjoyable and well worth the money I paid. The 10% was spent being infuriated by certain points of SP on Veteran and IW being a useless piece of shit.

Overall it's well worth it if you can look past the few but rather large flaws, like a hot woman with a dick hanging off her face.

Oh and for all the people singing the praises of BFBC2 you should know that while it will have dedicated servers you will have to rent them from DICE only so that means no mods.

That's just completely unattractive. How bout' a hot woman with a rather large and unsightly mole in an inconvenient place on her face where it's highly noticeable? That seems more livable.

Yes but at times IW makes MW2 completely unplayable at times and therefore penis+face comparison is sound and just.

So It might be just me (and on a sidenote, I enjoyed Spec ops with my boyfriend, Online gameplay and even the singleplayer fairly well), but isn't it quite an achievement for a game, if month after the release date, theirs still people ranting about how they totally didn't buy it? I mean really guys (and girls, if any particpated), constanly bashing something is just another, maybe even worse, form of fanboyism, isn't it?

I can proudly say I tried the game, and hated it, and still haven't got any desire to purchase it.
I DID lend it for about two weeks to play on Xbox live, which was half decent with a good group of friends (as any game would be), I could even say I enjoyed it at first, but it got real old real fast...

I'm glad I didn't waste my money on this overrated crap.

I never actively boycotted it, but I don't own it and have never played it, I just never buy things that get hyped so much and only rarely do if somebody convinces me of it's quality.
e.g. I only saw The Dark Knight in September cause I didn't believe the hype, but thats awesome.
I didn't buy MW2 cause of the hype, and I'm not going to buy it because I hate proving myself right

I boycotted it for the PC, and still haven't picked it up

I might however pick it up for the ps3 just because my uncle from the opposite coast has it and has been looking to play it with me.

It still won't go against my boycott considering I refuse to play it on pc. The picture above explains it all...

I didn't really boycott it because I was never going to buy it anyway. It was a giant dick move to us PC gamers they way they treated us so I did pirate it...but I never installed it.

I did however rent it for the 360 just to play through the campaign and I'm glad I did. It was stupid, but fun.

As for the multiplayer, I truly could not be any less interested in it. It's just not the kind of FPS I like. I'll stick with my Team Fortress 2.

Because Activision is run by dicks who removed dedicated server support [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/articles/view/columns/experienced-points/6768-Its-the-End-of-the-War-as-We-Know-It] for the PC version and then had the gall to pretend that it was 'a good thing.'

Assholes.

I thought it was because it was just a god-awful game...

I love the campaign.

Sure, it's overblown, makes no sense and plays like James Bond on speed but heck, we're gamers... aren't we meant to like this kind of thing??

Not sure I'm boycutting it as I never had any intention of buying it in the first place. And I haven't. I found the first Modern Warfare to be incredibly boring and predictive, not to mention repetitive. I have no intention of suffering though any more of that crap.

The only thing that has changed is that now I won't buy it on a whim 2 years from now when it's cheap or used. I mean, had the game included dedi servers and not been a huge 'fuck you' to gamers I might have bought in a couple of years when it was next to free. No more.

That said, the whole fiasco have made me unwilling to buy anything related to Actiblizzion until something changes.
