I'm working on a review for Streets of Rage 2, in the hope of getting some critic skills. If I get good at it, I'm hoping to make my 1000th post a review of a particularly controversial game. (One where a lot of people disagree, or which has created a "broken base" situation in the fans of the game.)

I can't remember who, but I think I recall someone starting a thread about ponies for their 1000th post, but then again, that could've been a dream.
If it was real, then do something similar, like a thread about..........Dolphins!

Ok, so a bit of an exaggeration. But I think you get the point.

I'd say make a thought provoking thread with a thank you at the start. That'll probably be the sort of thing I'd do if I make it to 1000 posts.

Some members of the Escapist community can post 1000 times in a week. Others take their time and post sparingly. Either way, the 1000th post is something special, and it should be celebrated!

Well, here it is! I'm about to hit my 1000th post, and what a crazy 8 months it has been! I would love for you, the community, to help me figure out what my 1000th post should be. Any ideas?

Also, should I do anything else to commemorate the event (like spruce up the avatar, etc.)?

I think your 1000th post should be to tell me why you made your avatar blink. The first time I noticed it, it really creeped me out. Ha ha ha.

I really don't think there's any need to have a sense of ceremony about it. Although the titles corresponding to post count proves this site doesn't share my opinion.
