Well, if you accept her taking it as inevitable, do the following. (Mind you, you're going into EXTREME toll mode here)
Take the stuff thats yours out, tell her shes going through a mid life crisis and go on your merry way,

Otherwise rationalize.

Now, to the rest of you. The vast majority of the comments seem to involve 'take out what's hers, and give her the rest.' I'm sure it doesn't take a rocket scientist to see that whole line of action is counterproductive, and will only make whatever is causing this situation worse.
Generally the idea of that idea. (Heh.) Eye for an eye, or just be a ***** for the sake of being one.

Plus, I'm almost completely sure that you can legally own property before you're 18, though i'm probably wrong.

Here's a thought: Remove everything that is yours, buy a new casing and CD-drive, and give her back her casing and CD drive.
Then say you are only taking back what's yours and returning her her stuff.

Literally give her the parts that are hers and tell her she can purchase the other pieces you bought with your own money.

If you still live in her house and it was originally hers, its hers. Also whats with all these "my mom is" threads today?
But that's just it, the contents aren't originally hers.

Imagine if a parent gave you a wooden chest. You proceed to put nearly a thousand dollars worth of merchandise in it. Now your parent takes the chest AND CONTENTS back, because it was "originally theirs".

I can think of all the wonderful things you'd have to say to them about that.
