It got crushed by the Playstation. I will say it had some good games, and if you want to remember it well just take a look at the Original Xbox controller. Seriously, they're the same thing.

Soul Calibur was fun.
Power Stone was a blast.

...
That's all I can remember.

Im with Xitel, the playstation tore it a new one.

As someone who chose the playstation, however, i see it as a victory for the forces of good.

Yeah, Playstation's marketing>Dreamcast's. The Dreamcast had a short run, but some truly great games were released for it. Two being Sonic Adventure and Shenmue(I love both dearly). I loved the system, just a shame that SEGA essentially rushed the Dreamcast onto the market. People were still thinking about the N64 and PS1, they weren't ready to accept the Dreamcast just yet. Look at SEGA now though, it was probably for the best that the Dreamcast went the way of the do-do.

There are still some new games coming out for the Dreamcast in japan, but they are mostly (if not all) shoot´em ups.

Ah...I've always loved the Dreamcast. I still play my copy of Virtual On, Gigawing, the first Soul Calibur and Sonic Adventure. It was significantly better than the N64 on most counts, although they didn't have such great games like Golden Eye or Jet Force Gemini, but it is still definitely worth remembering.

Aw... This isn't a thread about an inanimate object we hold dear to us? I was going to go on about how this one flask I've had since I was 7 has given me inspiration for nearly every story I've written. No, not because of alcohol. More of a holds flask then says "I've got it!" out of nowhere thing.

Anywho, Dreamcast was fun but like everyone else says the PS2 curb stomped it faster than Isaac. I still loved Soul Calibur and Sonic Adventure. I still think that above all E-102 was the deepest character in the entire franchise. And his ending was sad. But I digress.

how young do you have to be to not know. I mean I guess there are people who weren't in to games till recently, but come on people. Dreamcast was the s**t, even if I couldn't afford one at the age of 9...(well i think i was nine....)
