My Launch PSP is on its way out and the symptoms are.

Pants Battery Life (3 to 5 hours),
Broken Wifi,
and a few clusters of stuck Pixels.

Alot of my games are downloaded but my few favorites are UMDs. (Persona 3, Peace Walker, Castlevania, Breath Of Fire 3, FFTactics: War Of The Lions, Lunar ect ect.)

Should I cough up £130 for a Brand New PSP 3000 or a Preowned PSPGO (CEX FTW) or wait for the heavily rumoured PSP2?

Depends on how often you play it. If you rly like the system and use it enough I'd go with the psp 3000. Even though most of your games are d/l the psp go doesn't really give anything aside for looks. You could buy a 3000 and 16gig memory stick for the same price as a GO and have both the d/l and umd. If your psp is something you barely touch, i'd just say wait for psp2 or buy a cheaper old gen considering there's no telling when the psp2 will actually be released.

PSP 3000 if you have UMD games still because then you have to buy them again off the PSN... that's IF PSN has the game, it doesn't have Crisis Core, big disappointment.

PSP 2 is basically confirmed. Sony hasn't said anything about it, but several developers have mentioned working with it. With that in mind, and the fact that development of big PSP games are coming to an end next year (with Dissidia 012, VC3, and 3rd Birthday), I think it's a good idea to hold out for the PSP2 and see what that's going to be packing before you make a decision.

Maybe the PSP2 will be able to play digital versions of PSP games. Chances are good that it won't be able to use UMDs though, so maybe you'd want a PSP3000 just for those.

Wait... 3-5 hours is bad battery life? I don't get much more than that, and my PSP is relatively new. o_O

Anyway, if you play it a lot, get the 3000. Or, you might be able to get a used 3000 somewhere. The pspgo is just so meh. If you have disk games, why buy a system that can't play them?
