Saw an advert on TV for something I thought was dead, anyway do you own an N-Gage?

N-Gage... wasn't that Nokia's weak attempt at a handheld?

I don't mean to sound like a tit, I really don't know

The N-Gage was indded Nokia trying to get into the Gameboy market.

Despite some OK graphics (PSX is the closest comparison I can think of) the small screen, bad controls and the fact that it failed horribly in physical design meant that it never took off.

Nokia did release an N-Gage 2 that fixed a few of the design issues of the first one, but by then the damage was done. Plus the only decent game I can think of on said platform was Tony Hawks 3.

What a surprise, 100% say no. I was too under the impression it was dead, although I heard rumours of a comeback but never believed them.

I think that Nokia are using N-Gage as a brand name for the games they create for their phones.

Nilcypher is correct.

Almighty Wikipedia said:
In 2005, Nokia announced that it would move its N-Gage games capabilities onto a series of smartphones. These devices have been available since early 2007, and a pre-release version of the N-Gage application allowing users to purchase and download games was made available for download from the official N-Gage website on February 4, 2008.[3][4] The full version of the N-Gage service was released to the public on April 3, 2008.[5]

I had an N-Gage QD, which was the second attempt. While the flaws were fixed, it still was only used once for gaming. I had Super Monkey Ball and THPS3 on it.
