I played an import of Naruto: Gekitou Ninja Taisen 4 which was your standard beat-em-up fair with cel-shaded graphics on the Gamecube.
And it was pretty goddamn decent actually. CS2 Sasuke, Itachi and...sharkguy whose name I can't remember were overpowered to fuck but other than that, balance was good, the tag matches flowed well and had the requisite "Everyone fucks over everyone" attacks, it had a little bit of story attached and was otherwise solid.
Sorry, what was the actual thread topic? *looks* Oh, Naruto RPGs. Console probably, though to really work out as I envision it, it'd be one of those open-world RPGs. Like Prototype, except set in faux-Japan with ninjas in orange jumpsuits.
The premise of Naruto, that is, ninjas with magical powers in an endless back-and-forth between the tribes and mercenary work? That's interesting. It really is. What they did with it though...was never a huge fan to be honest.
I had the same issue with Harry Potter actually. Nice setting, not a fan of how they used it.
