I am carving a heart necklace for my girlfriend but i need to know what stone you guys think looks better. (this is a carving i made out of foam the real one will be made out of basswood and will be stained)
I like B, though a better picture would help (more lighting!). Purple will look good with a deep red or brown stain. Might I also suggest that make the back flat, and increase the width of the upper portion of the heart.
B, with a deep brown or red stain it would look amazing. Might I suggest flattening the back (beveling the shape up from a flat edge), and increasing the width of the upper portion. Some wood burned details would look amazing, just remember to stain first, wood burn then varnish. Since it is a necklace I would finish to at least 400 grit, possibly polishing to 1200 grit after varnish.
