Poll: new mortal kombat or MVC3?

I have only enough money to get one or the other for my ps3 (or the xbox 360 if you feel that the experience is better, I prefer the ps3 controller for fighters).

I love the look and rosters of both, so I am seeking the help of the escapist community to help me sway my decision one way or another. Please voice your opinions, I want the most competent fighter with online support and all the other bells and whistles expected when posting, lol.

Mmm I'd have to go with MK. Though I liked MvC3, it can be incredibly unforgiving. LOVE the new MK though.

MvC3, it has amazing combos, easy to learn, hard to master, online is a bit meh though. Also, if you get MvC3, learn Dante, if you chain his combos right you can kill an opponent without their character even touching the ground. (That is very hard to pull off and I've only seen it done once to it isn't an unbalance, it is just a person who had too much free time)

Honestly, get Mortal Kombat. Just look at the reviews. Marvel v Capcom is really good, but Mortal Kombat is sensational.

Easily Mortal Kombat. I like Marvel Vs. Capcom 3, but it is very very light on content. It's worth picking up, certainly, but I'd advise you to wait until it's down to at least $40 new. Mortal Kombat, however, is more forgiving overall and it is fucking packed with content, and unlike a good chunk of content in previous Mortal Kombat games, this stuff is actually good. Really damn good.

Also, to the Wolverine fanboys, while I admit Wolverine is sufficiently awesome and/or tits (cookie for the reference), Mortal Kombat has this guy:


And yes, he is as much fun to play as he looks.
