Poll: New or old thread

When you're about to make a thread, but realize someone made a similar thread, but a very old one, should you still make the new one or just comment on the old one. I think you should comment in the old one to stop the influx of repeat threads.

Using your necromancer powers to revive an old thread isn't bad. Unless it's a thread from a year ago and the person just wants to forget about it...or if you actually don't have much to say on the issue. Then you don't need to even make a thread. But ya, comment on the old one.

How old we talking here? Like a couple weeks to a month? If so, I would say just post in the old one. If we are talking about 1/2 year+ though, it would probably be fine to create a new one I think.

Pretty ironic considering that I know for a fact that there are tons of these threads.
OT: Old ones.
Seeing the same influx of threads every 2 days can get kind of annoying sometimes.
It is going to be really bad when March Madness comes along, if last year was any indication.

2 factors:
1.) How old is the thread(for a month or so, probably revive unless the tone really went downhill in it. For almost a year you should start a new thread.)
2.) Is what I am saying a direct response to something in the thread or only tangentially related? If it is either of these without the first point being a month or positive, you should start a new thread.

There are factors such as how old it is and if what I have to say it just going to be a repeat or adding a new aspect of discussion.

I usually create the thread (again) as it is stated in the (old) rules making a new thread is acceptable if the old one is a month+ old.
