Ha! Gotcha! There is no new splinter cell game that I know about.

How would you feel if there were?

It looks cool, but I want one of the old type of Splinter Cell games. I wouldn't care if they kept pumping out Spinter Cell and Chaos Theory clones without adding some stupid gimmick but maybe some new useful gadget like seeing through underpants

Editz0r: I totally missed your point. Check this [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tom_Clancy's_Splinter_Cell:_Conviction] out.

Wait what? Yes there is? Or there -was-, PC Gamer, or ZONE, can't remember, did an article on it, although, I don't actually remember what happened to it.

See, this was about the time Assassin's Creed was getting all it's previews done. And in the article, the new Splinter Cell really resembled it. It had the hiding in a crowd bit and all that. Basically the plot had Sam on the run from the authorities, not like Double Agent where it's only a ruse, so he has no access to his gadgets or anything.

I honestly don't know what happened to it, it was looking pretty damn good.

Edit: Ahah! Take that OP! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Splinter_Cell_Conviction
Although, it's been delayed to 2009-2010, so, it's a while off still.

Hasn't there been only one since CT? Double Agent was weak though. How could they have thought the terrorist hideout levels would be fun? And stripping out the multiplayer for us consoletards...

In this industry, they tend to forget how to make good games. But I would love to see Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory: 2.

Edit: I voted a reluctant "Yes." Just don't mess it up Ubi!

Ummm, Splinter Cell: Conviction? Don't you know about that? Anyway, what was wrong with Double Agent? I haven't played chaos theory, but I think DA was the best.

Well..-some- bits in the Terrorist base are pretty cool. I especially liked when they force you to execute that man to prove your loyalty, but there weren't enough of those type of moments.

You're absolutely right, there is no new Splinter Cell [http://splintercell.us.ubi.com/conviction/].

Yep, you sure got me.

How do I feel that there IS a new game?

Great, I guess it's another chance for them to try to take the game in a new direction without screwing it up.

Parts of Double Agent were pretty good. Strangely, all of those parts take place on or around a boat. A lot of people, myself included, found the terrorist hideout levels a complete bore. Plus, the sound and light/dark meters were replaced with three lights. The multiplayer was stripped down to it's component parts, and heck, some of the component parts were removed. Plus, no splitscreen. No coop at all (those multiplayer levels do not count).

Can't say I liked Double Agent. They took CT and completely gutted it.
