It honestly depends on how competent the available emulators are. For everything up to and including PSX I just use emulators, but I bought a PS2 last year because PS2 emulation still sucks. I bought a Wii U for the new games, but don't really care for XBO/PS4 because 95% of their library is available for PC as well.
