I haven't had a nightmare in a long time (years) I was wondering why that was though, because I used to have frequent nightmares as a kid, I wasn't sure if the frequency decreases as you age

my nightmares... are actually quite strange compared to what is expected.

i have had situations where i have dies repeatedly in dreams, and enjoyed them thoroughly. the dreams that make me wake up in horror are far more like real life situations. for example, sitting on the bus (ironic because i often feel tired on the bus), going to school, eating lunch.

i have no idea why i consider these nightmares, but they seem far worse to me then what anyone else would consider nightmares (my normal dreams).

Yes, pretty frequently.
They don't really interrupt my sleep, though. Waking nightmares (sort of a paranoid feeling as you're trying to sleep) certainly make it hard to get to sleep though.

i rarely remeber my dreams
the last one i remeber was being run over by a ladybug.
i was probably six at the time.

since then i have the occasional dream that watches like an independant foreign film. black and white, music that saids a very droll, sad tone. no dialogue just looking at each other.
and there are usually fast paced chase sequences involving zombies at some point. not scary, music doesn't change, just fast paced.
me (i assume), some girl i can't recognize, and ocasionally other frightened looking people; none of them recognizable.
if there is some crazy dream interpreter on, i'd love to hear what you think.

I've been experimenting with going into intense bursts of REM sleep and have been remembering most of my dreams, no nightmares so far.

Everybody has nightmares occasionally.

I'm one of those people that can rarely remember their dreams, but sometimes I can gather a general overview of them from the recesses of my mind.

I had a nightmare last night that involved an attractive woman seducing me with offers of a carnal nature, then after suspiciously accepting I became trapped on a farm except I couldn't get in the farmhouse. Then I realised I couldn't leave the farm at all no matter how hard I tried, the woman turned out to be a vicious leopard, and I eventually got attacked and eaten by zombies.

Yea Freud would have a field day with me.

I rarely remember my dreams. I haven't had a dream in a while.
I sometimes get a nightmare but it is rare. The last one I think had something to do with my ex.

I know two guys (one who is 23 and one who is 24) who have nightmares just about every damn night I think. The same damn nightmares.

Haven't had on in years to the point that I can remember. Most of the time I don't even remember what I dreamt about. When I do remember my dream it's usually very imaginative in which that's who I am. The scary thing is that I remember some dreams that I've had when I was like 6!!!!

Get ready for this one, I get strange looks for telling people this dream:

I wake up in a concentration camp that has no security fences or guards, the only barrier between me and the outside is a huge mosquito net. I easily slip under the net and proceed to run through a field of syringes and nuclear waste into an underground cloning facility. When I arrive in the cloning facility one of the scientists tells me that my radiation level is deadly high and the only cure is to transform me into a half-zebra half-man and send me to a cottage by the lake where me and other human-animal hybrids will eat paint chips off the wall in order to cure our radiation sickness.

The dream ends there. It doesn't sound scary but trust me I woke up and questioned my sanity.
I think it would be more worrying if you woke up from that and DIDN'T question your sanity.

I haven't had any nightmares in years, and actually I can't remember the last nightmare I had. It's weird, real life constantly makes me scared and angry and all that but no matter how weird, and how scary I would consider them in real life (one the other night involved a moth about a foot long, IRL I'd have screamed but in the dream it was fine) they always seem pleasant.

Since I saw the Mr. Happy Face video on Youtube a few days ago, I have had trouble sleeping. It is just so creapy.

And, I've had a few "Emotionaly depressing" nightmares; instead of "Scary" nightmares recently.
What is Mr.happy face ?

I can only assume I don't have nightmares anymore since my lack of sufficient sleep has caused me to forget every dream I've ever had several seconds after I wake up. Then again, maybe me waking up has been a dream in and of itself.

It's odd, I dream all the time, and often have nightmares too. A while ago I had a whole week where I almost couldn't sleep without having a nightmare, sometimes more than one a night. Even stranger was that a couple of the nightmares were reappearances of some old recurring nightmares that I hadn't had in many years, but all of a sudden several of them came back in the same week. I'm twenty, by the way. I don't see how age should determine whether you have nightmares or not though.
