When you say The Pitt, do you mean John Persons? I'm not into interracial and his stuff is more than a bit racist, but I love the way he draws women. The bimbo look is just hot.

I will never for the life of me understand that. Hentai is a medium where you could literaly make anything happen in that world. Any really, My most prefered type is monster girl on human male porn. Monster Musume is probably the closest thing anime has to something I'd like, but I also enjoy more bestial and aggressive depictions of them. Monster Girl Encyclopedia was good for a while but that quickly just became waifu vanilla fluff and just kind of went down hill from there.

Not to mention the ones with more darker stuff seems to have a bigger budget than the plain, vanilla releases. If someone prefers the darker elements, by all means, enjoy it, but I'd like us mundanes to have something to enjoy as well, with a bigger budget.

Yeah, now it seems like low budget studios like Queen Bee get's all the "non-rape" works while every thing else goes to more prominent ones. It's kinda fucked up how really good hentai that could've been great are ultimately ruined because of this business.

My own art style is mostly anime-influenced but I tone down the facial exaggeration (I draw lips and noses! GASP!)

There are exceptions but I usually hate it when lewd art goes too far in one direction or the other, I hate art that looks too stereotypically "anime" (big heads, big eyes, flat faces, tiny noses) but I also hate the "western comic book art" look (kind of a vague description but at its worst, take the work of Rob Liefeld as a point of reference).

I much prefer eastern. I usually enjoy the art styles better, plus there's a great deal of stuff with storylines and actual characterisation. Most western sexual art seems to be one-off pieces. As well as this, eastern artists are much more likely to draw fetishes I find appealing such as serafuku, sukumizu, and watersports.
There are, however, a few western artists that make some extremely sexy and well drawn work. Dr Graevling is by far my favourite of western dirty artists. The majority of his work is based on World of Warcraft, especially draenei girls, but he also does some non-WoW work.

My favorite for eastern artists is probably Satoshi Urushihara, Shirow Masamune, and Shunya Yamashita.

I don't really watch/read much western hentai, but I do find the 3D stuff (usually things like video game characters done up in source film maker) to be miles ahead of what the Japanese do. Kind of odd when you think about it, but maybe that's because it's so much harder to rig the skeleton for a 3D rendered tentacle monster compared to drawing one.

No, not really. The term Hentai, as we use it in the west, refers to animated/drawn porn in the japanese anime/manga style. Kinda the same as Anime is used to refer to Japanese animation. I'm torn. I like some kind of... weird stuff (Particularly sex with negative emotions at the root, while not rape), and Japan tends to provide that more often. Western stuff tends to be a lot more vanilla. On the other hand, it seems like about a third of eastern hentai contains drawings of adults having sex with children, and I find that incredibly unsettling. On top of that it's not like it's just niche sites that show that, basically everywhere has it. Same deal with incest. Both forms of hentai feature around some pretty twisted moral values, even in vanilla, like the focus on interracial sex and basically how every doujin views sex (Particularly those "Teach that slut a lesson for ignoring me" ones).

If I had to commit to anything, I'd say I prefer eastern hentai, but I also have more issue with it.

As for artists... I'm going to take a risk here and admit that I kind of like DATE. I'm not sure if there's any artists more fucked up than that besides gore-porn (Which I find horrifying)

I'm fine with a character getting a train ran on them but having her getting constantly reamed and have a tag line like "get offended sjws" or something gets a bit annoying and unnecessary.

I've seen this before, and I find it absolutely hilarious. There are people who literally get turned on by trying to give a middle finger to people they argue with online. It makes the intensity of some of these arguments make so much more sense
