so yeah, basically the male version of a Weeaboo
Weeaboo is a gender-neutral term.
It started due to some forum censoring the term Wapanese, so someone started calling people Weeaboos, and it stuck.
That's not how it started.
Okay, that was how I was told it started. My bad, and whatnot.
The only bit of my post that really mattered was the gender-neutral part anyhow.

Each to their own, m'love!
As long as she's not hurting anyone, leave her to it. She'll probably grow out of it anyway.
This is the best policy (I use it on the girls in my Japanese class with an asian fixation).

Sounds like my sister.

She and her friends are like 15/16, always buying new pokemon cards, trading their cards, buying figurines, drawing pokemon...

"She's 15, and a girl.

Guys are expected to mature faster or else be labled as nerds. Girls on the other hand can be as goofy for a much longer time."-Prons(I cant seem to get the reply button to work)

Why thats stupid AND sexist?

I'm pretty sure we call that "being a teenager"
Im 15 and i certainly dont do that nor do the other several billion teenagers. Saying we are like that is a comment worthy of *facepalm*

Had to,
No, some teenagers like Twilight, or videogames, or the internet, or sports, or being emo, or being jocks, or etc etc etc.

They could have not mentioned the age and we could have guessed about the right age.
Yea but your comment made it sound like it was EVERY teenager, Just Wanted to point that out, But I can as easly imagine a 20yr old man doing this. Welcome to The World,

I like people like that, anyone willing to walk around with a yu-gi-oh duel disk on their arm gains +1 respect from me, just for having the guts to do something many will view as wierd.

It sounds to me like she's following a fad, in the same way a lot of "emo" kids cut themselves because their friends do too. She'll probably get over it. If she doesn't, you can always ignore her Asia-inspired weirdness.

She brings a duel disk to school?...Put her down. I have a "friend" thats kinda weeaboo-ish as well. He'll randomly speak in the little bit of Japanese hes learnt from anime(mostly insults) and will sing the theme songs from Naruto and Bleach for no reason. He was wierd enough before he started watching anime but now hes just a freak!

Back in my day if someone bought something on the wierd scale to school we'd break it.
Parents used to give a damn about their kids stuff and were NOT allowed to take hardly ANYTHING to school with them Lest they break it or loose it. Now you hear of primary school kids with cell phones... in CLASS..WTF !! About the most expensive thing i ever took to school was probably the shoes on my feet at $20 !!

Yeah a "back in the day" response.. sigh
"get off mah lawn !!"
Im 31 for the record

Thats is a little weird... I used to do the pokemon thing a bit but only if i know they already had pokemon... I was in yr 10 when ruby came out I think hehe... andI had 3 friends who had it at the same time... good times... but I was never that obsessed with anime.. pokemon is sort of understandable...
