I don't know how many of you guys have seen this http://xbox360.ign.com/dor/objects/852871/bungie-project-2/videos/haloodst_liveaction_trl_090409.html its a live action video promo for HALO 3: ODST and damn it looks like a full length movies trailer. It looks like they could make a great movie from this trailer watch it and tell me what you think.

This was shown yesterday, but it's such unbelievable trailer I think I'd let it slide 
EDIT: I chose 'Yes', it would make a good film, only if they laid out the fighting scenes in a similar fashion to, for example 'Black Hawk Down', they have the egde because the audience would root for them but against stagering odds. If I look for a term, realistic (Not a Halo gameplay reinactment of charging into a crowd of enemies and emerging unscathed).

Definitely, Spartans are to... well not human. They have a half a ton of armor, genetically enhanced. Not to mention that if they did do a movie about spartans it would center around MC and he is such a blank character that he gets like 15 lines a game. ODST or marines for that matter are human, they are not protected by shields. They take a shot and they are down, two and they are dead. They will have emotion and you can see their faces. If a movie is going to be made than Neill Blomkamp MUST direct it like he did with the short films he did. He must make the combat like D9 and make it just like Landfall. Then we will have one of the best video game movies and possibly movies of the year and of all time.IdealistCommi said:

well if they do about Spartans they should follow around the books mostly. Since MC gets way more lines in that then just the game. In the game the creators wanted you to "feel" like your MC. Which is kind of understand but still. Spartans were more awesome in the books, and work as a team instead of "I can kill everyone by myself."

I like hese new ads Bungie did for the Halo games. The Halo 3 Memorial Trailers and this "We Are ODST" trailer are pretty sick - and well above most video game ads/trailers today.

Anyways, like I said before. The MC in the game isn't the real MC. The book are so much better at story telling. But ODST would be a nice movie to see I believe. But wouldn't be bad if they had a spartan (Or a view , depending the timeline of the movie) to have in it to help out.
Awesome trailer...that's the second neat trailer for ODST I've watched today...the first one being the Firefight trailer, as narrated by Sgt Johnson.
Based on the trailer, maybe a movie could work. Having these distinctly human characters would help but it would be neat to see maybe one Spartan along for the ride, even for a short while.

it should definitely be developed into a movie... it would make a great basis for a grim faced sci fi war epic in the vein of Black Hawk Down or Hurt Locker... just don't give it to Michael Bay!!!
