And so the Halo franchise continues...or fills in. I believe ODST is set in the gap between 2 and 3? Anyway, I have only ever played Halo 3 and to be honest I can't see why people hail it like it is the God of all games.
However, I did enjoy it...and I'm considering getting ODST. So-should I?

I wanna hear people's genuine opinions on the Halo games and what they are expecting of this new game. No fanboy ramblings please...I really wanna know what to expect of this new game, and if it will be worth my time. A lot of the videos I have watched seem pretty good, but then some people are saying that it doesn't look that good comparatively.

Like I said, what do people think of it? And should I, having only played and mildly enjoyed Halo 3, be bothered with it?

Hey guys, check it out! Another completely original post! Try the search bar, mate.

It's a good fun game, stays true to the Halo franchise while being able to introduce new players. Handles and plays well, and is overall good. Go for it.

If you like the Halo Story.

The campaign was pretty cool, firefight is mad fun and overall it's somewhat worth the $80.

If you enjoy Halo, you'll enjoy this game. If you don't, then this game won't change your mind. Simple as that.

Lol I did. Nothing specifically asking what I am. Hehe, good to be cautious though.

Wait a while, get it cheap in the sales. It's a reasonable game but it's just more halo and some halo you've seen before, not enough to justify full price.

I quite enjoyed it. If you liked earlier Halo games you'll probably like ODST too. That said, the strong point of Halo 3 for me was that it was so well integrated as a social experience, the best part of the game was playing it with my friends, and the same is true of ODST. If you've got friends who have purchased ODST, then definately go for it, and have some fun playing it with them. If not, it might be advisable to hold off until it gets cheaper, because if you don't have friends to play it with, you miss out on one of the best elements of the Halo experience.

After watching the review supplement, I must say it looks kinda nice.

If it weren' for the price tag and the simple fact, that I do not own any consoles, I would definitely give a try.

I loved it. never a huge fan of the other games but this one was great due to the freeform exploration and the melancholy, detective movie feel.

It made me go back and play Halo 1 and find out what a great fun game that is.
