There are people online all the time. I sure hope this isnt a surprise to anyone out there. We're not all aim bots and grind bots (it's just what we do, not what we ARE).

Although sometimes I get the feeling that we all forget this fact, that we actually are dealing with PEOPLE other there, with feelings, with brains (sometimes), with curiousity, with flesh and bones, with interest, who, for the most part, are much like yourself.

So i ask you, escpaists, when you meet someone on the internet, what are they to you, meer pixels, or actual people, human beings that you want to interact with, maybe even be friends with? Especially in a comunity like this, where you probably see and communicate with the same people several times a day/week?

Are you scared of the people on the internet? Are you scared to let them know anything about yourself? Do you feel strange if they tell you anything about themselves? Is everyone out there someone you would see on "To Catch a Predator" to you?

Well, considering that they are real humans, I treat them as such.
And I'm not scared of them, for multiple reasons.
One of them is the fact that I live in a college dorm filled with other people. The odds of something like that happening are quite slim.

Isn't this what we're suppose to do when we go to war?
To forget that the other things that scream and bleed are people?

To me, people on the Internet are no less real than the random people I might see on the bus. I can't see them, but that doesn't mean they aren't there.

That said, I don't really go running around blabbing all my personal information to complete strangers. I mean, you wouldn't tell some random guy on the bus where you live, would you?

Unless it's an addbot, I'll treat any person I meet on the internet, with respect and manners and I expect the same from them.

Also I am not scared of anyone from the internet, I mean they most likely live miles away from my home, and even if they did live close, I'd doubt they would know were my house is.

I always try to treat people on the internet the same way I treat them in real life, though I am admittidly more likely to retaliate on the internet than real life as people on the internet are sort of "faceless" if you will.

if i ended up chatting with him cause i saw him every time i rode the bus because we had the same schedule and general route to work, i might, if he didnt come off as a nut job after starting to chat.
