One reason I hate apple is that they just pick up a theasurus and use every postive descriptive word out of it, and the Apple ellitists lap up every word of this. What is all this hate for Apple. Seriously this is just the natural progression of things. Honestly $50 says if Microsoft brought this out it would be hailed as the greatest thing ever. This looks like its will be pretty good, ok I can understand that some people (gamers especially) will not like this, alright it's not for them, but aside from that I think that it will be quite good. It's the next logical step, why should we keep old technology just because you're accustomed to it? If you don't like it fine, but all the hate and abuse at a fucking company because they made a product you will never buy or use and therefore never be affected by is fucking childish and pointless.

No. The hate for Apple is because they are in the unique position of being Microsofts only real competition and use that position to do nothing but hurl crap out all day long. Microsoft has had run-away success because its products (up until this stinking heap of crap we call Vista) had worked reasonably effectively and simply considering what we were asking of them. Apple, by contrast, don't take this approach. They offer nothing more than gimmicks which are always inferior to their opposition.

This new mouse is just another example of an unnecessary gimmick, where they should be offering a real alternative.

I agree, I would never use something like this. When I buy a new mouse, I want it to have MORE buttons than my old one (which has 4 buttons and a clickable scroll wheel).
Plus it will be included in every Mac computer... I since aftermarket Mac mouse sales will skyrocket.

Seems like an awkward solution having a smaller area defined as the "right click zone".

One thing Apple will learn and likely learn the hard way is sometimes it's just good to have some real buttons.

Meh I dont really care. Macs do what they do and now they do it with an ugly roadkill mouse. Does it affect me? No. Does it run games that are good (thats the key word) and interesting? No.

Will the Mac users be able to edit photos and videos with a different mouse? Yes. I wish them the best of fun.

I like Mac products, but have never been a fan of their mice. It is interesting, I dunno about the practicality of it, would need to use it a while first, I think it would be uncomfortable though.
