Poll: On Catherine and difficulty

It's been out for ages elsewhere but us Europeans haven't had the game a month yet, I have some problems with it's difficulty.

I'm playing on Normal mode, which is fine and I'm over half way through the game but it's getting rage-worthy.

The story is amazing, I love the day-time/bar sections with a passion but the nightmare sections are getting crazy.

Gaming is the only art medium that prevents you experiencing everything you've bought if you aren't good enough...hell just watch this


Is there anyone here who thinks this is a real problem in our medium, obviously I have no idea how to solve it but I think it's a problem, and one Catherine suffers from.

As a gaming community I want to know, what games are too hard for you? Are there any games you've just given up on, gotten to a certain part and never seen the ending because it's too hard.

Pfft, we got the easy version of the game. In the unpatched game, Normal mode didn't have undos and the game was just harder.
OP: Nope. If I want to see an ending, I will beat whatever stands in my way, no matter how long it takes me. I love a game that makes you be good at it to progress. Also, Catherine has a "win the game" mode.

See, I loved Catherine, but I started forgetting some of the important techniques near the end and getting screwed over. It is certainly a great game though. Personally, I've never encountered a game that I couldn't at the very least beat on the easiest setting. If having a really easy setting doesn't fix the problem, I see no reason why games shouldn't offer to let you skip the section after 5 or so tries. You could have a penalty for doing so, or just let the only penalty be the damage to the player's pride, whatever works best.

It's hard, I'm awful at FPS and good at puzzle games and this has killed me more than any FPS on hard.

Not seen a very easy mode, unless Europeans get an edited version of the game because we waited so long...

oh wow, well I'm on Normal and it's not that bad yet but I can feel it getting harder and harder I'll probably stick with Normal for now though
