Yeah. I wouldn't have as much of a problem with it, it would just simply be a tactic, but they're all comically large dicks!MurderousToaster said:I AR AN UB3rR3 l33at Qik-Scop3r nd m3y g4m3rt4g is

I have no real problem with it, but I have a problem with their "YOU'RE A NOOB UNLESS YOU QUICKSCOPE!" mentalities. I fail to see how enjoying playing the game differently from them makes you a less skilled player. (Note - "that's how I enjoy playing the game" does not encompass tactics that originate from the game being downright broken such as OMA Danger Close)
Akimbo Shotguns? Hell yes. Akimbo Machine Pistols? I cannot express how large the upcoming YES is.nofear220 said:How is it pure evil to aim down the sight slightly faster? There are MUCH more evil perks in MW2 *cough* marathon, lightweight, commando *cough*Ramare said:Yes.nofear220 said:Are you talking about the slight of hand perk? how is that godawful? and really, who still plays MW2... id rather play cod4
Because it's pure evil. Ask anyone who doesn't use/abuse it.
Im not going to reply to you ever again, akimbo anything ruins everything.Ramare said:But playing MW2 spoiled me with................ and akimbo pistols
Come on people, there's nothing wrong with akimbo pistols...vallorn said:here here. Akimbo was an awful idea that was just meant to pull in the Halo crowd.nofear220 said:Im not going to reply to you ever again, akimbo anything ruins everything.
the only problem with that is that not many people had the decency to use akimbo pistols. there was a nickname me and my mates gave to the PP2000. we called it the "deathray" and its akinmbo "exterminatus" because we could go entire rounds without dieing and only using the combo. it was about that time i quit from Rage and Boredom and moved to BC2 on release. i haven't played anything else since.Ramare said:Come on people, there's nothing wrong with akimbo pistols...vallorn said:here here. Akimbo everything else? Worse idea than putting in Danger Close and OMA. And especially having them equippable at the same time.
Oh YEAH I forgot about the God damned consoles having God damn aim-assist!Kinguendo said:Erm... no. It isnt the perks that are the problem, its the aim assist thats the problem. THATS why quick scoping takes no skill, if you quick scope on a game that has no aim assist then fuck me thats skilled... if you do it on one that does then fuck you, youre not.
Stopping Power, and FMJ don't require skill. People kill you from smg range with shotguns wth that setup.Geekosaurus said:Shotguns all the way. It's the only 'noob' tactic on that list that requires a bit of skill.

lol. i forgot about CS 1.66037084 said:since technically cs 1.6 surf consists mostly of jumping around shotgunning and i play a ton of it my favorite "noob" tactic would be Jumping around with shutguns
No, they are just utilising what the developers have given them. If the decision is made that the gun is too powerful, and therefore is ruining fun for other people, it surely couldn't be difficult to simply patch the game to remove it. But as I typed earlier, I'm not very enthusiastic about online gameplay. I play games for the story, atmosphere, characterisation, etc. Online doesn't contribute to any of these. Not to mention that I don't have a very good internet connection, so any game I do decide to play online is annoying from the start. Plus, I've always had a problem with online. If you give me Uncharted 2, and told me to complete it on Crushing, I'd gladly do it. But I can never play online very well. You?Ramare said:So... I'm not trying to be rude, I'm genuinely asking you, here, but: What if gamers used a tool (I.E. gun) that has literally no recoil, very good damage, a really large clip, full-auto firing rate, and all of the weapon attachments you can have on a gun at the same time; that was accidentally left in by the developers for testing purposes, but they can't remove it for some convoluted reason, and half of the game's player base is using it?JaymesFogarty said:You know what I got tired of? Online multiplayer. It wasn't fun; it was tedious, and frustrating, and most of the games I have played that have this mode sacrifice story and characterisation for it. I'm not even going to name the most obvious culprit. I'm free from the lot.
EDIT: On my opinion of it; I'm indifferent. Gamers should be able to use any tools the developers provide to win. They're about as annoying as anyone else with a gun.
The gamers are technically using what the developers developed. Would you see a problem with it?
This is pretty much all you need. I agree, it's not the hardest thing to master, but it takes practice nonetheless. You know you're good at it when you can shotgun on the non-shotgun maps; I'm thinking Pipeline and Countdown on COD4 and probably Afgan and Wasteland (above ground) on MW2.Ramare said:Getting close to people is easy.
Well, for me. No one else.
I answer the word(s) why/how, with these:
Stun grenades.
Marathon.
Ninja.
Buildings.
And tactics, to make use of cover, and close distance.
That last one is why everyone else can't use shotguns in the open.
Personally I disagree. This setup might work on very close quarters maps, but it wont work on longer ranged maps. I prefer Cold Blooded, stun grenades and using your noodle as a shotgun setup.IamSofaKingRaw said:Stopping Power, and FMJ don't require skill.
