It's shit, and always has been. A few years ago, it would occasionally spew out a couple of interesting, entertaining, or beneficial things, but now it's just full of a load of complete fucking losers who ruin all the other boards simply by reputation.

On the other chans, /b/ is slightly better, but not by much. Any forum that is dedicated to the discussion of nothing in particular will degrade to discrimination, pornography, and harassment.

It's like a volunteer internet Gulag or something, I feel. It keeps them in one place, at least, and I'd prefer it to be there.

Yes, they do act like the concentrated scum of humanity at points, but again... They've got their own place to be. I think it's better for everyone that way.

I know just enough to guess this would be one of those things that can't be unseen. So I'll happily enjoy my ignorance.
Lol perfectly captures how I felt.

Guy: "I went to 4chan once"

Friend: "yeah, and?"

Guy: "I had to throw my computer away afterwards"

I don't personally like it, but there's no reason to take it down.

It's just one of those things that will probably always be there regardless of me not liking it, so it'd be useless to get upset over it.

Old /b/ used to be that growth on my ass I didn't like to talk about,

new /b/ is my realization that I can surgically remove that growth and forget it ever existed.

ehh it's okay, i don't go there too often
it does get kinda funny when they do an "operation" or whatever the fuck you want to call it, like with the "i think hitler was right" drink competition or the mass of prank calls to one place

OT: Like the first post, I too have an extreme neutral reaction to /b/. I actually like some of the other boards on 4chan, some of the funny OC and discussions I've seen/taken part in are amazing.

Lost intrest in it, went to /vg/, /fit/, /pol/, /a/ and so on for about a year.
>Came back to see what happend to the board
>disgonbgud.gif

I was pretty dissipointed of what /b/ had became. It was basicly filled with so many cancerous threads the eye could see.

I have been quoted several times now, by people apparently knowing the meaning of those few words.
So, apparently there was content enough for most everyone.
Should the mods disagree, I shall provide a more detailed explanation.

Perhaps just explain in the first place? It's not that hard, and it makes sure there's no way you're getting mod wrath. I don't know what they mean, and I'm sure others don't too. So, explain maybe? It is for your own good :)

Now, so not to derail the thread I'll add some more comments:

Personally, I feel that anyone who actually takes /b/ seriously at all and believes that the people spouting shit on there are like that in real life are quite dumb. I'm sure that a lot of people on there are nice people in real life, /b/ lets them have a place where they can say ANYTHING and do pretty much anything they want without consequences. Sometimes, people just need somewhere to call people niggers.

I mainly browse the other threads, especially /tg/, seeing as they are pretty much the good guys of the site.

Rule 1: You don't talk about /b/
Rule 2: You don't talk about /b/
Rules of the internet, meant to protect the innocence of those that donot dwell on /b/ and to protect the community of /b/ from those seeking to purify the community or who go there for nothing but the reputation.

(You quoted the wrong guy)

But thanks for explaining. I agree, talking about /b/ always causes problems. But still, why not just edit that into your original post? Do it for me :D

As you wish, I won't try to stop you any further. TBH, I shouldn't have quoted you in the first place, the last time I accused someone of maybe breaking the rules I got suspended. But no hard feelings, eh?

Thanks for the compliment too :D

OH NOES AN EPIC WEEN MASTER TROLL

In all seriousness /b/ is just the waste retainer keeping the retards out of the other boards.

It's the whole reason /r9k/ /soc/ and /b/ exist.
A filter for the rest of the site.
