I've been around MMOs for quite some time, starting with City of Heroes before going into WoW. Now that I've lost interest in Azeroth's charming landscape, I've been looking around for another means for to waste my time. After doing some googling and wandering about, I've narrowed down my choices to five.

  • -First off, a good many things have rekindled my interest in City of Heroes. It was a good while ago when I first played it, and word is that it's improved somewhat. The fact that Yahtzee gave it a reluctantly positive mark on Game Damage helped kindle my interest as well.

-Second, I've taken a look at EVE Online, and I've also played the trial. I'm not too terribly fond of the way it plays thus far, but if it's truly worth it I just might weather through the noob parts and enjoy the later-on glory days.

-Third, I've recently gotten interested in Final Fantasy XI. As a small-time fan of the series and a lover of their fantastical worlds, it's no surprise that I've come to be drawn in by it. Scott of VG Cats seems to enjoy it as well, which bolsters the appeal.

    ...

Oh, alright. I really like the Mithra, too. Happy now?

-Fourth, I'm a bit intrigued by the up-and-coming Stargate Worlds, but I'm not sure how it will be.

-The final option is to simply keep on with WoW, hoping that my interest comes back at some point. Or, you know, getting off my lazy arse and doing something constructive with my spare time.

You could just wait for any of the following

Stargate online (name escapes me)
The KoToR and Star Trek mmorpgs that are being made

DC universe (looks promising)

and another super hero mmorpg which again the name escapes me right now

EDIT: I tried FFxi and hated it, long, boring and bloody hard to level without a group *although ive heard the level sync has improved this. Proffs are hard and the whole game is pretty void, or it was when i was last on it.

Of all those, Stargate interests me. I'll mod the original post and poll, then.
