Poll: Opinions on crossplay?

I'm just curious what you guys think about this, seeing as most of you aren't cosplayers from what I can tell.

So, you most likely know what cosplay is and if you don't, it's basically when you dress up as a character from an anime or video game.

Crossplay is the same thing, but a little bit different. It's basically gender swapping. It's girls cosplaying as male characters or (usually only as a joke) a guy cosplaying as girl characters (Sailor Moon seems to be common for this ).

Overall, what are your opinions on crossplaying?

All cosplay is weird.

Girl crossplay doesn't significantly add weirdness.

Guy crossplay adds considerable weirdness.

Fat cosplay is much worse

Furry cosplay of any kind tops the pyramid, no point in subcategorization, because weirdness has been /maxed out/.

Coseplay is fine.

Crossplay is...mildy creepy, not saying that it's sick or wrong, it's just... a bit odd.

It's the same sort of thing where girls can wear guy cloths, but it's weird if a guy wears girl cloths.

I wouldn't say that crossplay is weird in general. If people want to show their fandom by dressing up as a favorite character, thats cool. That being said they need to think about who or what they're gonna crossplay as. Some fat guy dressing up as some skinny little girl is pretty weird. But I'm sure that there are crossplayers out there that can pull off their character pretty well. So I won't condem crossplay in general, just the individual cases that are failures.

I don't have a problem with girls crossplaying. Neither do I have a problem with guys cross playing. I do, however, have a problem with overweight fugly people cos or cross playing. It is wrong. You look like shit, more than usual. Just stop. don't even think about it. We laugh at you with your back turned, provided we also do it in front of you anyways.(this aplies to all genders, races, height, etc)
Yes I know I sound dickish, but it's my truth, and if any body disputes this I will start pulling up pictures of 200lb men covered in hair, cross playing as Haruhi. DO YOU WANT TO SEE THAT?

Meh, I think it's fine. I've seen some women who were really really convincing men, and many vice versa, so I don't see the problem. It can looks really good if it doesn't look creepy as hell.

I have to agree. I've seen many many girls crossplay and pull it off very well.
