Poll: Optimist or Pessimist

Lots of people seem to think I'm pessimistic. I don't really agree with that, but I suppose it may be true. I don't know, I just am.

Anyway, I'm an optimist. Just. I'd call myself an opportunist more, or a situationist. I change how I can be depending on what's going on.

I don't get why you'd be a Pessimist. If you just mope about everything, you're spending all that energy doing nothing rather than changing or enjoying the situation.
Reminds me of all the people that go "the world's going to shit, there's no point in trying." Well, half of the reason it's going to shit is because idiots like you are just standing by as it's happening!

Either choice describes a person who expects things to turn out a certain way. I don't. Life is what we make of it, the unexpected usually happens, and all we can do is prepare for that while enjoying the good things we can squeeze out of life.

Realist/pessimist for most everything. Though when a friend is struggling with something I take a complete 180 and become overly optimistic.

i usually like to be hopeful, but depending on the situation i can be pretty darn pessimistic.
